Someone ripped tracks from the demo and has uploaded them online. Revo (and Sound Horizon) is not a composer I'm familar with, but after hearing these I can see why he's popular. Fantastic stuff all around.
Track names are unofficial BTW. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dy1Ie48W4uw - Battle Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0O5Lzoe7VE - Ominous Crow Battle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-1yqgdX-B8 - Automaton Battle (DAT VIOLIN) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOpTOtvcAiA - Results http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yqpzky-ryTY - Karudisura Kingdom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mcSsvcoxT4 - Country of Sand and Big Clocks, Rakurika http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dRhsZVeynA - Field Day http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoZrOfHKYrs - Fortress http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbQ3BC-SNrg - Dungeon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8RsHa3O0Y4 - Altar of the Wind Crystal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-ugzxY7pZI - Main Menu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMiAKpLBvZg - Untitled Track Last edited by Iron Maw; 2012-09-16 at 09:00. A live Broadcast is on for anyone interested. (it's over)
http://live.nicovideo.jp/watch/lv107678312 EDIT: Awesome! Deathblows apparently change the background music when they're activated. Each type of weapon has it's own theme too! The moves shown were pretty cool BTW. EDIT 2: Friend summoning still looks pretty weird. EDIT 3: Awww, seems like I was kicked out by a premium user, the game is looking ace though. Hopefully this gets recorded. EDIT 4: According another forum looks like I missed a quite a lot of cool stuff: Dark Knight reveal, Onion Knight costume dual wielding axe Merchants, crazy new summons. Summary and clarfication of the most important things on the stream:
Quote:
Sounds pretty good, though I'm kinda disappointed with the number songs in the game. With big music tie in this game has you would expect a bit more tracks. |

BTW, something that was not mentioned:
-Ifirit and Shiva (or at least in her case, heavily redesigned) seem to have been replaced by Doomtrain (elemental fire summon) and two new summons. Last edited by Iron Maw; 2012-09-20 at 15:02. Reason: Okay seems like the link was takendown again for good this time. So this is pointless. |

TGS Trailer and Iwata's Ask Interview
TGS trailer is up.
Bravely Default was featured in Iwata Ask's yesterday, and cleared up somethings and spoke about the direction and concept of the game. This a summarized version, but it still an interesting read. Original source: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/interv...l20/index.html Quote:

I know I keep saying it, but the more I see of this game the more I kind of want to play it. It looks like everything that made me fall in love with Final Fantasy back in the 90's that I thought Square Enix had completely abandoned to that period in time. I hope it gets announced for worldwide release sooner rather than later.
Also is Agnes (Anies?) supposed to be the de facto main character of the story then or is it supposed to be an ensemble cast like FFVI I wonder? A lot of the promo material and videos seems to focus on her rather than Tiz is being an important figure of some sort despite him always getting listed first in character lists and I know Square Enix basically pulled a fast one with FFXII where despite pushing Vaan a lot early on and on the box art it's clear from the story that Ashe is the one that the events of the game ultimately revolve around even if everyone kind of gets their moment in the spotlight. |

As for international release, I feel that chances are pretty good considering the high budget this game's got. |

SE has a pretty good track record when it come releasing their games worldwide some exceptions notwithstanding (like the FFLegend/SaGa remakes and Sigma Harmonics for the DS). Unless another Type-0 PSP fiasco suddenly develops, the only way this won't come overseas is if end up being a catastrophic bomb saleswise in Japan. I think we should be fine for the most part.

I don't if it really means anything, but I guess we take it as a good sign for how people are feeling about the game. |

Surprisingly, it looks like Siliconera went translated the entire Iwata Ask's interview:
http://www.siliconera.com/2012/09/24...cately-linked/ http://www.siliconera.com/2012/09/25...next-epic-rpg/ It's a good read, and there's quite a bit of detail the wasn't in the summarized version. BTW, a "Direct Feed" version of the TGS trailer is up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=HxI0eMAUylY Last edited by Iron Maw; 2012-09-25 at 17:54. |

So SE wasn't just collaborating with Revo and Hayashi, but also some guest designers too.

Keep in mind this is Kotaku, but this is pretty depressing, but nonetheless not in the slightest bit surprising considering how awful Square Enix has been to it's fans of late.
Really though I can't help but not be surprised that what is easily the only Square Enix game I have any remote interest in would stay Japan exclusive, while all we're looking to get are more re-releases, Final Fantasy XIII and Kingdom Hearts. Is this all they plan on being in North America from here on out because honestly I don't see why they don't just go Japan exclusive at this point. They're practically dead creatively anyway save for this game and the stuff Eidos is putting out. At least there will apparently be Fire Emblem: Awakening so I can take some solace in that. |
