A cursory reading of Wikipedia (*cough*) suggests that this is correct.

Seitsuki and risingstar3110, thanks for that info! Too bad you guys don't run a real-time online translation service; I'd be happy to pay for such!

From my understanding it's already Japanese, you must mean you want it in Romaji?

In Japanese, it would be pronounced as "Sai Gensei" or "Sai Genjou", the Japanese reading of the characters (严 would also be rewritten as the Japanese version, 厳). If you're really anal about the pronunciation, you could use katakana to create a kludge close to the reading of the characters in whatever part of China the person's from, but most people would probably ignore it. To name just one example, "Mao Zedong" is read as "Mou Takuto".

But no, there's no real way to "translate" it into Japanese.

If someone wouldn't mind helping me with this, that would be nice.
万引きしたガキ事務所に連れ込んで説教しながら「お前受験生か、どうすんの受験?」って聞いたら「大丈夫だ 、問題ない」とか抜かしやがった。エルシャダイ?って聞いたら笑ったので私も笑ってあげた。バイトスタッフ 呼びつけて「一番良い警察を頼む」と伝えた。ガキ大泣きした。万引きは犯罪だぜ
Thanks in advance

It's a reference to the Japanese internet meme revolving around the El Shaddai game. Seen it lately on Nico but didn't bother to look it up until now...

It's something like, "Dragged a kid to the office for shoplifting, as I was lecturing him asked 'Aren't you an examinee? What're you gonna do about your exams?' but he just went 'No problem. Everything's fine.' I asked, 'El Shaddai?' and he laughed so I laughed in return. Then I called over a part-timer and told him, 'I'll take the best officer you have.' The kid started bawling. Well, shoplifting's a crime."

Basically the line "No problem. Everything's fine" (大丈夫だ 、問題ない) is a quote from the main character from the game's trailer and sort of became a meme. Same thing with the quote "I'll take the best you have" (一番いいのを頼む).

If you have a Nico account you can check out the trailer for the game that started the meme here (it's got subtitles): http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11157453 if not I'm sure you can find it on YouTube. More on the meme here: http://dic.nicovideo.jp/a/el%20shadd...0%E3%82%A4%20-

Thanks... I got that as a retweet from a friend, and Googled failed on translating it. Thanks also for the background info on it too.
