hmm
is that the scene where Touma lost his 10000 yen on the vending machine? but still isn't this thread for the anticipation of the 2nd season? its more like wait for some new news for discussion. Well can't do much if there is still no news and the airing for this one will probably be next year?

^ Yeah. OSTs for goodness' sake! There were a lot of remixes in the OSTs for the Toaru series and of course, they weren't included in the OSTs. There are a few I can remember off the top of my head: Index II ep 8 (Mikoto meeting Touma after coming out from a phone booth during the Remnant Arc), and Accelerator's first battle with Amata as well as Touma's battle with Vento at the bridge (though you can identify it as Sokki Genten of the first Index II OST minus the choir tracks).
I somehow happen to like these mixes, and there's no mentioning the very first PV for the Index series (the first season).... at least the 2nd season's PV music was in its corresponding season's OST as Arata Naru Tatakai. Ugh, dem zounds!

I too hope for a better OST, I think the ones done so far for the series are rather meh, with all due respect... But I don't expect them to improve much.
On the other hand, the OPs and EDs are great with fripSide, hopefully they keep using that group (or band or singer or whatever it's called, I don't dwell in details) |

The OST? This time I'm with the general mood, while I do like the scores of the precedent Toaru seasons, I found most of them kinda weak or unfitting to the scene they were used with (though, there were really awesome moments like with Saikyou no nanori or Aratanaru Tatakai).
Also, I personally want a little less beats and a lot more Ominous Latin Chanting when it gets darker or "less scientific". Quote:

If I had a say, I'd propose someone like Kajiura Yuki (Madoka, Baccano, Fate/Zero, SAO) for the OST composition.
... Too bad I don't. Well, it's rare for composers to change within a series anyway, so the only real chance is that the one that is already doing Raildex improves his/her sense. |
