It depends whose point of view when talking about Calamity. Calamities come in all sort of forms and as such mean different things to whose point of view the calamities affect. Lets say a boyfriend has a girlfriend who end up burning dinner, she would say it is a calamity. The boyfriend and his brother who is visiting see this calamity as happiness because the girlfriend is a terrible cook so both saves their taste buds and orders take out. Another example is football fans to their teams when their teams lose, it is a calamity for them. For other footballs fans who are rivals, they see it as a reason to throw a parade.
So in this case, Heaven views Maou as a calamity, though there is plenty of chance that this calamity means good things for human kind and demon kind. It all depends on which point of view the calamity effects. Oh, by the way, the example of the bad girlfriend's cook is a personal experience. |
