Well, this is a good heartwarming set-up episode like expected. More character exploration and even a little bit of technical explanation of what Kudelia will propose to the Arbrau representative on Earth. You know, instead of TITANS or A-Laws, I feel the relationship between Gjallarhorn and 4-Block is more like the relationship between OZ and the Alliance from Gundam Wing so far. Who knows, the Seven(?) Star families might be something akin to the Romefeller Foundation in Gundam Wing. But the unique thing here is that the protagonists allied themselves with a space-mafia in preparation for the upcoming war that will most likely happen once Kudelia ask for more rights for Mars to be economically more independent. All in all, it’s a pretty solid story-telling so far that doesn’t rely on battles episode after episode. When a mecha series’ non-battle episodes can be as engaging as the battle episodes, that is a sign of a good work.

Some afterthoughts:

• The show implied that Eugene & Norba lost their virginity in a brothel. Well, I can’t really congratulate them coz that’s a lousy way to lose your virginity, but what can I say. Considering their situation, they’re lucky enough to be able to spent their virginity at all. So...I hope they had fun (which they did, from their expression alone). I’d say Kira’s “first time” is more torturous compared to theirs. For Norba, it seems a certain young mechanic-boy is disappointed (if not mad) with that fact. After giving us an actual harem and actual protagonists using prostitutes to lose their virginity, will this show give a genuine gay-romance? Hmm....I guess we’ll see. Btw, don’t tell me that the mechanic boy is secretly a girl. It can’t be true right? Right?
• Looks like Orga got himself a female fan (maybe?). And he get to express his true feelings to Mika, Aki & Biscuit. That’ll certainly strengthen their bond.
• Isaribi & Hammerhead are now allied ship that travel together! Woohoo!! But will these two enough? Or will we get another additional ship to make a Three-Ship Alliance ala Gundam SEED? We’ll see.
• It’s a battle episode next week! Can’t wait!

I do believe Amida was talking in euphemism about the meat Atra. Amida may be right you'd make a great wife but she is also right it depends on the chosen husband.

While Orga may have found a crush on an older woman I can't help but think he'll end up with Kudelia. As Orga and Kudelia are effectively father and mother of Tekkadan.


We get exposition that if Mars becomes economically independent there would be war from various factions with the status quo change. Most likely Gjallarhorn who we learn is the only one who produces Ahab reactors these days.

While I wouldn't mind Orga x Kudelia at all. They still has as much as one meaningful interaction and that was fanboying over Mika. Well, that can change, but still...

In other hand I really wonder about this new woman and what kind of dynamic she will have with our leader.

Great episode overall, I love it. (Oh and Aki is bigger beast than Naze)

Yup, not much to say here, it was fun seeing Orga drunk and the rest letting out some steam, they needed it

Mika as always....but we did see a softer side of him again here, and its funny how everyone else he wears looks so much better than his standard attire

Cant wait to see the "new" Barbatos in action, the opening now matches up with the Barbatos thats been prominently featured, so we'll get to see the white shoulder armor and its katana

Seeing Orga all drunk and still going on about family was touching, and him nearly puking on one of the kids was unexpectedly funny too lol

And yeah....something is definitely going on in that hangar scene between those two guys/kids...... (aside from the old mechanic going on and on about Barbatos)

I was actually under the impression that Fumitan will betray Kudelia. When McGillis said he had an undercover agent that will give them the info, I immediately thought of her, but yeah, in hindsight, the bar lady was probably the true culprit(and I'd bet that handkerchief has some kind of signal-emitting element to it). Still, about Fumi, I always found it unusual for a "mere maid" to be well-versed as a communications officer. I kinda blew it off because other things were going on, but now, its more obvious that something is amiss. The look she gave Kudelia after receiving the matching pendant was one of guilt.

Has there ever been any succinct yaoi relationship in a flagship gundam title? Cause that's the only thing I can think of right now between those two.

First, are all of those confirmed in the anime itself? Coz, if you relied only on vague implication, shiptease, and side-materials, I don't think that counts as succinct yaoi relationship in flagship Gundam title like Frubam said.

Second, even if those are true, two of them (Guin & Angelo) are only one-sided. As for Ribbons, given it's true that he slept with Alejandro, he's an Innovedo, and sex and gender mean nothing to them, so they can go either way .

Also, she's going to be devastated when she learns of Fumitan's betrayal. Whatever form that betrayal turns out to be.

Well, it's obvious he want profit and doesn't mind take advantage over Kudelias youth. Trully nice person wouldn't be able lead large criminal organisation. That said MacMurdos pressuring her never stepped into area of extortion and not just he didn't care about Mika stepping in and lessen his advantage over Kudelia, but he even shown great amount of fondness for him instead. He seems to be as trustworthy as Yakuza/Mafia don can be.

ANOTHER talk episode? And for what, some alliance that required dressing up? A drunk scene? Pointless poetry crap "I have not killed anyone but the bluud of muh Tekkadan is on meh". Another instance of an episode that could be compacted into a few minutes. I remember being a kid, I sure as hell wouldn't keep watching something this tedious, if the audience takes a nose dive I wouldn't be remotely surprised. Even Age and Turn A knew when to shut the hell up and do something and the next episode looks like more of the same.

Also, she's going to be devastated when she learns of Fumitan's betrayal.

Where are people getting this from? She hasn't done anything remotely suspicious, she's just saying adviser stuff so far.
