Well, it is Gainax. Has there ever been a Gainax series without ecchi or useless fan-service? Then again, OER was prettly light on that sort of thing.

By the way, I found out that not ALL Gainax's anime are infested with ecchi. They did Petite Princess Yucie, which was pretty clean (though I've only seen 2 episodes and NEED to see more!).

I think (and hope) that Hanamaru Youchien is gonna be a really funny show, since the manga got great comedy. It does remind me of Kodomo no Jikan alittle too, just alittle since the kids want to act like adults but they obviously do not know how, of course no ecchi at all in this one, only lots of cuteness. The cuteness actually reminds me of Potemayo, another hilarious anime.
