You think he will come back or something? Since I don't read the novels and I have not seeked out any spoilers I have no idea whats going to happen, I do hope Marus is dead though. And it also looks like they took care of the mystic guy that was a part of the bad guy's clan, he took a tumble off a cliff and went all misty on us......

Ok I have watched the first episode and the opening strangely reminds me of the main theme of the video game Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind. Don't you guys agree?
By the way, apparently this series is old, started in 1979, which is why I'm even on this topic. I don't usually watch new series. |

Yeah I'm aware of that. That's why I want to watch it. Because it's based on an old novel.
By the way here's the op and morrowind in comparison: Guin Saga: http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance...-op_shortfilms Morrowind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWuNf4gxwuM |

Marus had to die cause he is the only one that can stand up to the Lagan in terms of strength. He would give his troops enough morale to be able to stand up to the momentum of the Lagan.
I can't believe you guys expect this anime or story to be very realistic. Real strategical warfare will not happen in this anime. Take it for what it is, an epic anime or story with a guy with a leopard head as the main character. The warfare will be very simplistic and dumb down but it doesn't mean it will not be entertaining. Think about it, the cliffs are always so conveniently placed. Even suni, the monkey, fell into a bottomless cliff in episode 10. That cliff came out of nowhere. I remember the Sems had the higher position. The mongols were at the bottom of the cliff while the sems had higher ground. In that kind of position, there's no way the Sems would have retreated. They could have just kept firing arrows and they would have won easily due to the fact that the mongols cannot reach them. Lastly, if this anime is real and would follow the rules of real war, the lagan would have died against the mongols. It doesn't matter if they are super strong, super big and super tall. One arrow on the chest and any one of them will fall down. If a 3 ft tall person goes up against any MMA fighter like brock lesnar or randy coutour, and that 3ft tall person has a gun, that 3 ft tall person will win. |

Every time I sit down and watch an episode of Guin Saga, it unexpectedly draws me into its world, more and more. It's just so darn pretty.
Watching Guin is like watching the makings of a tangible god, not merely a legend (a friend and I were debating Legend v. God earlier, heh.) Spoiler for Ep. 11:

Episode 11 was confusing to me, it wasn't a bad episode but it brought us a host of new characters and we are introduced to the Crystal Prince or something to that effect, apparently he is really important. Guin and the large DouDou guy had another fight, this time Guin came out the winner without flashing a bright light and then claimed he was leaving the Sems and the Lagon to "find his destiny" after the battle was over, but I wonder where Guin is heading off to? Hopefully he is coming back soon..........
This series feels like it's going to be ending soon or something, it feels like it's all heading to a conclusion, but I want to see this series succeed and continue going, so hopefully I'm wrong. What did you guys think of episode 11? |

All I have to say after ep. 12 is:
1. It was amazing as usual. This show just gets more and more epic and the animation is absolutely and consistently stunning. 2. What kinda guy holds onto a single strand of hair, puts it into a feminine looking turquoise locket, wears it around his neck, and looks at the Hair Locket while blushing furiously whilst all alone in his room? I don't think I've seen what obsession is until now . . . |

So after episode 12, if Remus is heading towards the direction that I think he is heading, then the moral of the story is, "if you're a whiny, wimpy little boy, your destiny ends up as being evil as the best choice to get stronger."
I wonder how this will end up with Crystal Prince Naris and the White Princess Amnelis? Probably not good, since Naris has proven that he is quite the strategist, while Amnelis has proven that she has more brawns than brains. Also, please hold back on the spoilers about future events, even in spoiler tags, titled or untitled. The Amnelis character hint pretty much decided on how events will turn out. They really do take away the enjoyment from watching the series. Thanks

But, being in here means I accept the risk of getting spoiled (I lower this risk by skimming and never opening spoiler boxes).. I've stopped going into the 07-Ghost and Pandora Hearts threads because the smell of spoilers is so darn potent in there. People don't do it on purpose, but they just can't contain their excitement. It's kinda hard to speculate on a show whose source material is already out there since any theories can get shot down quickly. I wish there were two separate threads for shows that are adaptions -- one thread would be for people who have read or played the source material, and the other thread for the clueless spoiler-phobic, like myself. But I don't know how efficient that would be. Haha, dude, I know. I can't get over his character -- not only is he obsessive, but he's delusional as well. |
