that was a good episode! i was wondering if he would use the same jutsu as his dad did in the Oro vs Kage fight, the double size jutsu, he grew to a giant!

I really liked this episode, mainly for the action, but also because episodes such as this one really do show how amazing the non-main characters in Naruto can be. Chouji was definitely the man of the moment.

However, the next episode's preview is incredibly ominous. I'm not looking forward to next week if it means what I think it does.

Did anyone else think that the sound produced by Choji's "Meatball with spikes" was similar to the sound of firing a rocket from the N64 game, Goldeneye?

i highly doubt that... choji is no where near the size of his pops ordinarly, so he shouldnt beable to grow as big... also choji is a gennin, his dad is a jounin? or w/e many years of calories on him.

GREAT episode. The action was good, and the emotion in it was intense, especially at the end. It was touching to see Chouji try his hardest to help his team, despite him being insulted by them (save Shika).

It was kind of dissapointing to see Shikimaru in actual combat though. Not really with how he did (the guy was a chuunin), but the fact that all he could do was use Shadow Imitation the same way as he always does. I though he'd have some new techniques by now.

Unfortunantly, the next ep doesn't look like a happy one .

As you have said, the next episode doesn't appear to have a "happy ending". So, looking forward to it even more.

This is exactly what makes Shika so cool. All of his opponents basically know beforehand that he will attack with his shadow-bind and that they will have to avoid his bind. Yet, Shika's ability to outwit his opponent and lead them to fall prey of his one dimensional attack makes him so cool although Shika wasn't able to fool Jiroubou.

Comparing it to the other kunais, there couldn't have been more than a centimeter or two of the tip cutting through. That rope is definitely thicker than that.

I would've prefered if Neji fought this guy because Jiroubou is not a long range fighter and if he doesn't know about the hyuuga style, it could prove to be fatal imo, i smell death around the corner aswell
I like how this show encourages poppin pills
