![]() BTW, I really hope that Diodra doesn't use his magic to kill Balin and steal his power. He already gained an extremely OP ability as it is, no need for Suzuki to put a hat on a hat. ![]() |

Balin's invincibility needs to get thoroughly examined first. But that's Gawain's task. I don't think Balin is in any danger though as a potential Round Table knight along with Gareth.
A potential route for Diodra is joining Beltreipe as his apprentice. Ironside doesn't remember him anymore, he doesn't care about him anymore, and Beltreipe really wanted some strong fighter to serve under him. |

No fights just yet, but the latest chapter has some very interesting developments, indeed. First off, it's pretty much confirmed that Beltreipe is ISOLDE 2's FATHER! Looks like he had his memory erased just like Ironside and Pellegarde....
Secondly.... Percy finally gets his new weapon! It's a sword called the Force Circular. Apparently, Dubs can't use it himself, so he's going to have Percy test it out in their match....!!!! |

So naturally, the next chapter focuses on Percy trying out his new weapon. Not only is it twice as hard as diamond, it can also absorb magical energy to power up either the sword itself or its user! As proof, Percy gains quite a boost of power by infusing it with his own life spirit energy! Needless to say, it's not long before the match ends in his victory!
Also, gotta shout out to Dubs.... his own weapon is pretty cool, too. It got melted during the fight, but no doubt he can fix it right up. However, the troubling thing is that his weapon straight-up gave away his identity to Beltreipe. That could spell big trouble for our heroes..... ![]() |

Not much to say about the new chapter, aside from Diodra being a full-blown nihilist now, lol. Also, he figured out that Nasciens is in love with Percy... oh, boy. Anyway, I guess this match will most likely end with Nasciens surrendering, because I don't see him dying anytime soon, especially when he hasn't made full use of his new weapons just yet...

Bump! But again, not much to say since this was another action-focused chapter. Diodra further shows off how OP his magic is by even reflecting Nasciens' own poisons back at him! At the end of the chapter, he tries one last desperate move to end things quickly, but even that backfires with fatal consequences....!!!!

He really did name his magic Despair on a page with Percival. Subtle at its finest.
![]() The implication so far with Diodra is either you have to show negative emotions towards him for the damage reflection to work or Diodra has to put himself in a victim position. Or both? I lean towards the former. It could end up being similar to Escanor shrugging off the Love commandment, cause why would he feel hatred towards someone, who is much weaker than him? If this is the case, then I would say Balin would just win, cause all he wants is a good fight and he wouldn't even think about hating his opponent. Oh, yeah, Nasiens is totally not dead. |

Next chapter! Gowther immediately puts the match to an end after Nasciens got poisoned. Diodra attempts to finish him and steal his magic, but Percy rather forcefully puts a stop to that. We then learn (with some help from Gareth) that the poison is a magical one, and there's only one way to reverse its effects.....
And so, with Nassie saved, we can look forward to the next match: Gawain vs. Balin! ![]() Quote:
![]() Oh, and also, I find it kinda odd that Gareth can apparently communicate directly with souls, yet Percy, a life spirit, cannot. Do souls not count as "life" or something? Quite strange, that. ![]() Last edited by marvelB; 2025-04-08 at 17:35. |

Where did it get shoot down? Percy punched him and the punch got reflected back to him. As you have said, with crystal clear animosity, therefore negative emotions were present.
Rothes is the one that makes this hard. Turret influenced him, sure, but he felt uncomfortable going through with the execution, so the negative emotions towards Diodra could only be minimal. Though he believed he and Turret could take Diodra's place as more fitting children for Ironside. |

^My bad, had a brain fart and said the opposite of what I meant, lol. Fixed now.
![]() Anyway, I guess Balin will most likely win the next match due to his OP ability, but once again, I just hope Diodra doesn't kill him and swipe his ability if that's the case. I dunno if the big guy can conceal his emotions or not, but somehow I wouldn't put it past Diodra to push his buttons somehow.... |

For starters, there is this tease between Balin and Gawain, and how Balin remained in Annwfyn to basically find someone who is stronger than him and reignite his passion. Gawain more than likely will figure out a way to make it past his Invincible, win, then Balin joins her the same way Gareth joined Percival. I also can't see Diodra beating Percival for obvious reasons. The whole idea of this potential Balin vs. Diodra fight most likely came from how their abilities could very well turn the fight into an endless stalemate. Balin cuts Diodra, it gets reflected back, but due to Invincible it won't work. Rinse and repeat. That's why we need some weaknesses and limitations to decide how this would turn out. ![]() |

A new match, so naturally another chapter mainly focused on action! There were a few notable things, though: First, it seems Diodra and Balin shared some common ground in not believing in friendship. Secondly, the Percy/Anne/Nasciens love triangle has officially began. Third, Gawain whipping out Rhitta unearthed some odd feelings in Beltreipe. The nostalgia is gonna hit him harder the longer the match goes on, I guess...
Oh, and the latest volume revealed more about Gareth's ability to see the dead! Apparently, it's NOT a magic power. Also, he saw the souls of Donnie and Anne's mothers, which was sweet. Come to think of it, I wonder if this means he'll see Escanor's spirit now that we know of the connection between him, Gawain, and Beltreipe....? |
