Naohito Takayama is an ordinary high school boy who dreams of a comfortable future working for the top-rated Japanese National Railways. He is assigned as one of four high school trainees in the Railways Security Force. Also in his group is Aoi Sakurai, a female troublemaker who hates men. On top of his sudden transfer, an extremist group called "RJ" plots to privatize the Japanese National Railways. Official website Nice to see more SoL anime that doesn't take place in high school. The designs by Vanilla 600 and the ones by Uno are awesome, will give a shot.

Did you get see whole episode or something? Because I can't see any major issue with Sakurai, she is quite snarky, but not violent and actualy makes pretty good team with Takayama.
Nice suprise was Haruka, I expected her to dumb, clumsy and being there only for fanservice sake, but her encyclopedic knowledge about anything conected to railway will be valuable asset and she knows where it's needed while not spaming it around. Well she is clumsy and provide fanservice though. Overaly Whole team work very well together and it doesn't seems to be one of shows where protagonist can hog all fame for himself. Plus railway settings is cool and nicely elaborated. Rail wars seems like very good replacement for these who liked Nanana treasure and I am looking forward second part of episode. 8,2/10 |

Hrm... Must admit that was kinda entertaining, a bit over the top and silly, maybe even dumb, but kinda engaging in an unexpected way. For some reason (I have no idea why) I am reminded of Ben-to's feel....
Anyway, will definitely watch the next ep. Curiously this was the premier today that caught my interest the most, and while nothing profound I could see it even becoming a guilty pleasure series at worst and maybe something on the silly action level at best. Wonder where they will take it from here? For now at least it seems the charas (whose dynamic and introductions I also kinda liked) have completed their training and are on the right track. Sorry, sorry... I could not resist! Edit: Btw, CR picked this one up too: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-new...ail-wars-anime

First Ep Impression:
-Was initially scared MC being some what useless but I'm assured by this episode that he is competent at least. -Look like Haruka and he share the same role of their respective gender being the intell type, leaving fighting to Sakurai and that other big dude. -Ship teased with Haruka but I'm fine with either girl, also Haruka being competent and not just an innocent fanservice girl is much appreciated. -I like how the train/railroad aspect isn't like a backstory but integrate into the main story/plot. Usually anime's priority is more boob bouncing than story, I like it. -I keep my hype and the hype deliver. Follow for me!

Well they 'are' standing behind 'the yellow safety line' so 'NSFW' might 'not' quite be accurate in this case.....well at least according to Queensland Rail safety guidelines.
Nice series, reminds me of 'Cop Shop', the 1970s drama program, with Trains!

I don't know what to think about this first episode.
There were great thing lke the action scene, and Sakurai as a character. But the MC is so boring ! His passion is so boring ! The first episode didn't make trains interesting things at all. I hope this will change.

This reminds me a lot of Library Wars, which to me was a great anime, so i'm hoping this to follow a similar path. As for characters, i guess its early days to place them into categories but the Mc feels rather blank otherwise a promising anime. the animations look good as well done I'll be keeping an eye on this
