And my first match as artillery ends in...
Spoiler:
I still can't believe that tank destroyer didn't get spotted the whole entire match until he got into my view range! Was he driving up an empty flank or something? (At least I made him waste enough time that his team's base capture count couldn't catch up to ours. ) |

Experience with the ELC AMX so far is... unfavorable. Frankly I'm having a hard time getting used to its weird mix of high top speed and acceleration, good gun (already have the 90mm), and frankly lousy turn speed, the last of which makes it hard to be an outflanker. I heard that the right way to play the thing is to run support, but kind of hard to do when you outpace your companions even on your own tier!

ZOMG. Team won on Cliff by driving 80% of the team straight up the west road to the cap.
Mind you, our heavy component consisted of me, in the Golden Soviet Land Yacht, another Churchill, two B1s, and a KV1. We should have died, driving at 20 KPH... but it worked. I'd seen a comment regarding the AMX as to use it as a very fast TD: Drive in, shoot a few times, reposition. That seems to be a lot more annoying than the guys who like to risk death by trying to weave in and out of the enemy's formation. Also, the AMX's view and radio ranges aren't that great for being a proper scout. |

their gun is very accurate thought. you can easily kill KV from half of the map.
their basically hit & run flanker tank. besiaclly you try to go behind the enemy line and hit it. after that run as fast as you can while you reloading. very hard to do but very rewarding . I once kill tier 9 tank using ELC

That's the thing though, it's hard to do good flanking when your gun can only traverse 30 degrees, ahaha. Also, for some reason, every single tank starts aiming at you, even when you're NOT going ahead of your team. In one of my games last night for example, I was actually behind our team's KV-1s, and they STILL shot at me.

Yeah, you'd be surprised how often a couple of lights and mediums, plunging into the enemy formation can change a game. Delaying the slower TDs from reaching the battlefront so that your heavies and TDs outnumber their opponents during the initial engagement can completely turn the game .. Even if the vanguard dies with no kills. Unfortunately there's currently no reward for this..

Yeah, I'm aware. There's also the Patrol Duty award, but I specifically meant XP or credits. They reward damage and sighted damage, but they don't reward "stalling the enemy" or "disrupting their formation" etc.
Someone was complaining a few pages back that they always have to sacrifice themselves to "lead by example" .. and unfortunately are not rewarded for it. It's just how the system works unfortunately..

I really want to buy a premium tank for use right now.
T-25? Hmm....just checked it on wikia. - Good gun (Better than 75mm L/48 on my Panzer4, actually) - Good speed - It has weak armor but its high hp cover that. Very interesting premium tank to try out. No wonder why I see a lot of this tank in game. By the way, does the damage to ammo lack happen a lot? ...........OR I should try D-MAX
