That is the question now isn't it.

I would think she would be at least a somewhat recongnizable science fiction anime related female from the 1970s or early 1980s (to counterpoint the Desler cosplay of the original).

That is probably a short list. Try Princess Invidia. (movie and TV versions...they are different in costume and hair color)

Though I don't think the character has to be a villian...since Desler has the distinction of being both the villian and an ally (depending on the season). It just needs to be someone who fit can fit the commander's role and/or can be recognized easily. (Emeraldas maybe?)

Failing that, a well known female character from sci-fi anime?

All else fails, generbent Desler cosplay?

Hmm...I think I might go with Emeraldas. Her costume seems closest to the President's original Desler cosplay, and she looks more like the female President than Princess Invidia does. (Kind of like how Desler looks sort of like the male President.)

What do you guys think?

That's nice. But anyway, it's the only uniform design I could think of without further research. Back in the day, Cartoon Network aired Wing and G and I moved overseas shortly afterwards, missing anything else they may have shown from the series afterwards. I haven't seen any of the recent Gundams, either (Seed something? I dunno). But they asked for suggestions, and it was an outfit.

Ah, there's an idea. Put her in the G Gundam spandex.
