I would rather give them a diet of only raw potatos and turnips for a week .

A raw-vegan diet is useful when you just recovered from an illness, or to keep weight control. But a long term diet beyond a week or so on this is ridiculous, it is no different from eating air.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

Very sensible advice, especially if the illness is of the stomach variety--heavy greasy meats can irritate the stomach. I've used it myself after recovering from a particularly nasty bout of food poisoning; for three days I ate raw vegetables and drank nothing but water, mostly because if I ate anything else I wouldn't be able to keep it down.

Is it true that every time you lick a stamp, you're consuming 0.1 of a calorie?

I wouldn't lick stamps at all if I were you.
The government employs people with a mysterious talent, who will lick the spit from used stamps, which enables them to read your mind!

Military Industrial Complex? Eh! Walmart's Twice As Big As DoD's Big 5

"Think of this, defense insiders. Walmart boasts twice the revenue of the top five
defense companies combined, according to comments made at the Army War
College."

Because of my new found love of long range shooting...

It takes 2.07 seconds for a standard 7.62x51mm BTFMJ round to travel one thousand metres.

It takes another 2.93 seconds for the sound of the rounds impact to reach the shooter (steel plates).

I was stunned when I first experienced this. Five seconds between firing and hearing the round's impact on the target.

Like magic!
