lol I was reading this outta boredom other day and just spied this thread!

Its a fun read for most part, anime looks like it willl be good watch so will be keeping an eye out for this!

Looks good. The promo image had me worried a bit but the character design sheets look about as close to the LN designs as an anime is gonna get.

ahahaha. I was laughing hard from the PV. They make it seems like it's some kind of magical girl action anime or something from a gag novel lol. I also can't wait for the anime, but I like Yui Haga character design more than anime one :P

Volume 6.5 of the shounen(boy's) light novel series Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu‎ will be released on August 29th, 2009.

I'll post its cover when its available.

(Hmm... yes volume six and a half, not volume 7. There was also a volume 3.5 released).

Epic over-dramaticness is epic. If they maintain that for the whole series it'll be awesome.

I like the novel illustrations better, too, but quite simply it comes down to the difference between drawing ten-or-so illustrations per book and drawing the same character hundreds if not thousands of times an episode. It's just impossible to match the style, unfortunately. :\

There a cast list yet? Or does somebody with good ears have some good guesses based on the PV?

judging by the voice of the main character i think the seiyuu for it is Hiro Shimono.
not sure if i am right but he's voice is almost the same as Jin from Kannagi and Ikuto from Nagasarete Airantou.

Yea. Can't wait for it to come out. Wonder if I can pre-order it from Kinokuniya in my country >.<. I really liked volume 3.5 actually. And BTW, they called it volume 3.5 becuz it's more of a side story instead of main story(I really like that story from Yuuji POV)

Well, if you don't like stupid storyline that's about funny stupidity then I guess this anime is not for you. This anime is just another romantic comedy story set in school type of anime with added battle scene, though somehow I found the story in the novel funny.

Well that's good to hear I thought the manga's adaptation comedy felt flat.

I for one enjoy the manga a quite a bit where I think its funny, cute and unique seeing the classes competing each other using their mini-sized self-reflecting pokemons. I find it hilarious the best/smartest class gets the finest facilities while the protagonist's class basically got crap with run down setting.

Though I find it quite annoying the dumb male lead basically gets all the girls swooning over him right from the start. Not to mention the amount of trap scene and homosexual undertones, eww, lame.
