Yup, they also announced the 5th season for Symphogear during this weekend. Season 4 + 5 announced for the entire event.

It is unknown when Season 5 will premiere though but it has been announced on Day 2 (today).

This is hilarious. Yeah, I'm betting on some kind of split cour just named season 4 and 5. Which I'm 100% in for. If that means they are planning one big story arc then they will have more episodes to do it. I think things got a bit repetitive in the middle of season 3 because they felt the time crunch to get through all those middle fights in a row.

This is awesome. More Chris! I mean more Symphogear !

With how many times you've said this same thing over several Symphogear threads, only written slightly differently, I'm sure no one here needs to be reminded that you don't care about it anymore. That and that you'd rather have more Nanoha!

Oh the actual news, though, I'm fairly sure it's gonna be a split cour thing, but then that's how people are calling 'seasons' now, so it works great for marketing. Two-day live event, one season for each day, they can go crazy like that and surprise the fans who were sure a S4 were coming – but no one would think "oh crap, S5 too, I bet!" before the announcement, lol.

I, for one, am pretty happy. I think GX was the most uneven series so far, and some of the episodes in the middle could've been handled better. But then I remember the last couple episodes and especially the premiere for GX and I convince myself that Kaneko and Agematsu have more than proven themselves able to get me excited about girls being crazy over the top heroines and saving the world through the power of music. So, bring it on, I'm ready for more!

P.S: Need more Tsubasa striking the Obari pose and Gunbuster Chris. Cheers!

A lot of credit given for pulling this off with the two day reveals . People were excited with season 4, that was mostly expected. But then completely blindsiding people like this is awesome! It does work well for marketing though you can believe it is just a split cour of a larger story.

Regardless I never thought when watching the first season that I'd be looking ahead to a season 5 . If nothing else GX started off darn well (shuttles, autoscorers, etc) and ended well (Carol's songs, X-Drive, etc). So I'll give them some credit and believe they can smooth out the middle portion for the next seasons while keeping the start and finish at top notch levels.

Let's have this group save the world a few more times.

Sorry. Just that I'm a big fan of Nana Mizuki and Ayahi Takagaki, so disappointment hit to hard. Same as the fact that I probably won't get more Nanoha. Sorry.

Life was so busy I only just heard the confirmation about when this season was coming out .

I am a bit surprised since I thought this would end up a Summer 2019 show. Nice that it will only be a year away instead of much more than that.

Looking forward to it though. Some interesting potential for where they can go here. Miku looking to get back into the story, Custodians could be getting into this, no more Ignite modules to lean on, etc. Of course looking forward to more enjoyable songs and over the top action.
