Just as an aside, it seems that Asuka's influence has crossed over to the Neptunia 'verse:

(I wonder if that character will show up in the Neptunia anime, too...)

I'm glad to see this anime is finally kicking into gear with episode 4. The Hanzou vs. Hebijou conflict feels like its finally getting underway.

Also, one of my favorite aspects about this anime has become seeing all of the different outfits; a lot are really creative and stylish.

Looks like the bad girls, aren't so bad after all. The professor old friend might be the the professor of the dark ninja group.

Both side aren't that different. The perverted girl is like the green hair girl, who instead of being perverted, she loves to eat.

so now prepare for MORTAL KOMBAT training with less clothes more power to battle & now beach relax time.

til blonde doobi grab got sneak but green sword licker, flower eye got chased by a lolita girl with eye patch til rescue, & smoke master seem something from his past is watching him.

The only thing I remember about episode 4 is boobs, boobs, and more boobs. There was even more fanservice than in previous episodes. Not that I think it's a bad thing. It's the main reason I'm watching this particular show after all.

Two new villains showed up, including a loli. The poor girl must feel pretty out of place given that absolutely everybody else has giant funbags.

Senran Kagura 04 - Hidden Great Shogun

It took four episodes, but even I can't really get around a beach episode going heavy on the fanservice content. That's what beach episodes are for. But there were still some other points in the episode, brought up only in momentary flashes, that show there is something more going on here. Asuka's guess about why Yagyuu and Hibari are so close looks to be spot on. The real question is if Hibari knows about it. In some ways, she seems more observant, or at least, lacks some of the filters the other girls do - such as calling the old place a "haunted house" repeatedly - but Yagyuu might intentionally be keeping her in the dark on this one. The potential for the Rin plotline seems like it could go places.

I'd known from the beginning that the show was going to have two EDs, and the second one is finally here. The Snake girls haven't really had enough screentime yet, but next episode looks to be fixing that. They don't seem to be particularly evil themselves, just following orders. Even if their designs make them out to be a little evil. Hikage's design probably the most so.

And I also like how the narrator explained Sudden Death mode. That's a hell of a way to justify fanservice - I'll roll with it.

, kinda. And we got to see into her past too, and why she cares about Hibari so much. I liked the fact that they gave her a more personal reason here than in the manga.

Seems Yagyuu is the most powerful girl among the protagonist girls, I really wanna see her in action one on one without protecting Hibari. Nice fanservice on the beach. "Super Ninja" now Iam interested in Rin. Lots of fanservice here groping and swimsuits, I think this will have ova fanservice rather than censor the main anime series.

Hmm is it me, or did the animé not portray the green haired snake girl well? Isn't she more deadpan and all, I feel nothing, emotions are meaningless on a mission, or something like that?

Because it's more of a ninja magical girl show, and all the better for it. By not being bogged down in romantic hijinks, it can focus on regular hijinks. Also on ninja things. And it means the audience can view the girls as their own characters rather than as potential love interests.
