Reminded me to observe that the VF-31 is one of the few Variable Fighters that has had the arms stowed outboard of the legs in fighter mode, which does make part of the transformation easier, but in this case is mostly there so that there is room for that big center equipment module.

It directly descended from the YF-30 so yes the swapable modules is what makes the VF-31 able to take different missions. The YF-30 had a missile pod and it was supposed to have a beam cannon pod but game developers had to skip it. Makes you wonder what the VF-31A has on its pod.

The SV-262's gimmick is having two Ghost drones. We've seen Ghosts used in the VF-0 and VF-27 before as boosters. In the VF-27's case according to fluff able to deploy the Goblin II ghost. There is also the Sound Boosters of Sound Force but those are more of support amplifiers.

On the other topic, my Mikumo interests are centered on my interest in Ami Koshimizu's voice.

Don't know if thats good news or bad. On one hand, if its like Macross Frontier, then I really wanted more than just 25 episodes. On the other hand, a show like Macross 7 kind of dragged on... way too long.

Probably a couple of recap episodes in there too.

The planned run length is only slightly longer than that of the original SDF Macross. I hope there's enough material to sustain things without being repetitive. SDFM got a little draggy after the apocalypse, M7 could have been significantly shorter, and... I actually think Frontier was a good length.

40 episodes?? Daymn...well if that's true, they shouldn't have any excuse for not fleshing out the (at least the core) characters...

Nope...iirc no one knows how long Delta will run.

The forty episodes they were referring to was the number of Macross Speaker Podcasts recorded up until now.

No, as Pinoy78 said, the Macross Speaker Podcast just hit 40 episodes. It has nothing to do with Delta.
