You ever feel yourself cocking your head to the side in confusion? You ever see that scene in King's Game where one guy twisted his head so much it broke off? Yeah, that pretty much sums up my reaction to this series' first ep.
Also, why the heck did they repeat the entire episode twice with different VAs? |

You think we get the same thing again next week, but with new voice actors? |

I watched Devilman: Crybaby earlier, there was an orgy where women turned into demons and their nipples bit people's heads off and thanks to Pop Team Epic that's only the second weirdest thing I saw today. Kudos, I guess .

Well, it's effectively a 12 minutes anime, which is better than a full 25. But I'd like it if Crunchyroll posted them as separate entries, since its video player doesn't have bookmarks. I don't care enough to watch them both, and had I known there was a version with female voices I'd have picked that one. The deep male voices were a bit too weird for me , not to mention the lack of subtitles in the French part.

Popuko was still voiced by a male seiyuu in the second half, but Yuji Mitsuya has a much higher register than Masashi Ebara, not to mention he was doing a falsetto. Still, the regular voice actresses for Pipimi and Popuko won't debut until the second episode, apparently.
