If they were able to fund a nearly endles run of episodes for Captain Tsubasa, Naruto/Boruto, and One Piece, then why not? As a franchise, Capatain Tsubasa would have no problems getting funds for making enough episodes that would cover all the way up to where we are now.

The thing is that the first manga was completely adapted thanks to the first tv series (that had a slow pace) and was followed by a series of OVAs.

World Youth's anime apparently had financial issues and it was cancelled before the staff even finished the Asian eliminatories.

Then we had the Road to 2002 anime. It was completely suitable to have the World Youth adaptation back there but they only adapted the Sao Paulo's match and Shingo Aoi's introduction. Then they directly skipped to the Road to the 2002 arc rushing it a lot to the point they created original endings that contradicted following material.

After watching some reviews it turns Japan actually pulled an offside trap against Senegal which was popularised in Japan thanks to this series.

This "singing in character" thing really doesn't do it for me. I like Yuko Sanpei's version, but not the other two.

Meanwhile, here in Brazil they replaced the OP with a terrible song (as usual, Johnny's never licenses their artists' music for international use), and instead of the many versions of "Moete Hero" we just hear an instrumental version of the international OP during the ending sequence.

Same in Argentina. Still, I hope Wataru Hatano makes his cover of Moete Hero. I mean the actor even sang the ending of Hamatora.

Just watched episode 15. Man, and I thought that Holland Youth was weird spinoff due to the goals, but Meiwa vs Nankatsu will make the goalkeepers play in a different position

After the conclusion of the match, all the main teams gather in the common hall. The minor scuffle between Meiwa and Furano's captain is halted by Tsubasa's call for settlement on the pitch. Thing's are heating up!

But the main story is that Football enables one to make long lasting friendships, no matter where you go!
