Nothing can beat the original version, especially on how it was used in the recap episode.

GO GO, FIGHT THE POWA!

Chances are that the track shall appear on the soundtrack, though i don't want to get my hopes up. I've been let down with so many soundtracks over the years.

I could have gone without the opera lady, just my take.

Mixing opera up with other styles is Kajiura-sensei's specialty - if anyone can do it and make it work, she can. With that said, she would have not made a good choice for doing the OST for this one -way out of her norm - she's not a rocker.

When i say disagree, i don't mean it as the fact that it can't be done --- that is Kaijura's style, though its not really opera.

They should've just left the Row Row Fight The Powa piano thing and kept the opera out. It kinda killed the mood with me.

Hmmm, it's a hard call to make since Gurren's more about action then drama. I guess it's just because the last battle is coming up and it's a very tense moment to be taken very seriously. I'd rather be feeling pumped though through it though.

i loved the opera...
The ep25 music i felt was very well timed...
This piece of music does seem to be the gurren lagann marmite you either love or hate it lol...
My taste in music is pretty much all over the place with bits from every genre, however i hate more than i like ha...
I can't wait to get the few remaining songs i need the full versions of...

OP - IMHO although the song was the same, except from 17 onwards which they used most likely the second verse of the song, the images/sequences fit together really well so it somehow feels like it was another OP although the song was the same

What are you talking about? Unless ANN is wrong Gurren Lagann's music is composed by Taku Iwasaki the same guy who did the Rurouni Kenshin OVAs, Read Or Die OVA/TV and Witch Hunter Robin scores. He's the top anime composer at the moment imo and clearly above Kanno (her best was in the 90's) and Kajiura this decade.

Man I'm loving Minna No Peace and the Karaoke Version of Sorairo Days. Now I can actually here the opening song the way I assume it was meant to be heard, with the rock and roll and synth, and not with Shoko Nakagawa as the most audible layer.
