Hi everyone~ I'm a long time lurker here but now I'm having some problems ):
so I lent Umineko from a friend who owned it to install on my computer~
but when I put the disc in this is what happened:
Spoiler for Bigish image:

It will read the disc as a drive but won't run an install? ):
this probably isn't the right place to ask this gomen ><;;

As we mentioned on the Getting Started page of our website, you can't install Umineko on a Mac. To run it, you need to manually copy the files into a folder and move everything in the fullsrc folder up one level.

You can see the fullsrc folder in your screenshot; you want all the files in that folder to show up in the "Umineko" folder. Then, you just move the Mac OSX patch folder into the "Umineko" folder and run Onscripter.

If you have more questions, just send me a PM and I'll answer them.

That is odd. It might have been said before, but for the sake of those who don't want to search through the thread: the patch is still available from the Rapidshare link on the Witch Hunt website. Look here.

I think yesasia should be fine - it's an overall trusted website for selling. But wow, possible free shipping I bought my copy from himeya and the shipping cost just as much as the game.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that appears to be a book about Umineko Ep.4, not the Visual Novel itself.

Don't know how Mandarake is for international selling, but that's definitely the right game. (It was still there when I checked btw )

On this subject, does anyone know anywhere it's possible to get EP3? Cuz I have EP1&2, and there will be a very depressing hole if I can't find EP3.

You can just buy EP. 4, which has all the previous episodes.

I'm pretty sure he already knows that. He probably want to have a hard copy of all the Episodes.

Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, it has been discontinued so it will be hard to find.

So no one knows anywhere I would be able to find it?
I'll have to look through eBay/Amazon for a used copy then?

None of the shops I know of have ep3 anymore (of course I'm not sure whether I know all of the shops, so there might be some obscure delivery company having it), so IMO your best bet would be to try yahoo.jp / amazon.jp auction and a courier service which could post it internationally (expensive as hell :/ ).
Unfortunately I never tried that option, but if I were you I would try doing it the same way as Klash and Proto describes it in the KEY memorial thread. Good Luck!

Hi SimplyBill,

Did you install the full game or the Episode 1 demo?

You seem to have applied the demo patch, and the background images have different file formats in the demo and release games, so that could explain the problem. Be sure you got the right patch file for the game you have.

What version of OSX is the 4.1 Mac patch designed to run under? I can't seem to even get ONScripter to launch.

There's a new version of ONScripter that fixes a bug found on some Macs. Get it here and replace the old ONScripter with it.

This new version will be included with the next patch release.
