I just started watching HxH and love it. I have a question though. Is the anime finished after the OVAs or will they start working on it again in the near-future?

We have no idea at this point, while there is more manga material after the last OVA finishes, the mangaka has been unable to release any more chapters leaving the arc unfinished.

I think unless the next arc is completed, they won't head forward on another OVA set since you can end it nicely after G.I.Final. I'm not sure on whether the manga will get completed or not even. It's been over a year now since the last chapter was published (Feb 06 I believe), and there's no indication that anything is forthcomming any time soon.

I heard some news that the mangaka of Hunter X hunter is already dead that's why this manga will not be completed? Is this true?!?!?

OMG...I just hope someone would continue writing the manga and finish the story....

I'd venture to say that unless the manga starts moving forward regularily again (19 months since the last chapter), they probably won't go ahead with another one.

They ended G.I.Final at a point that can be conceived as "The End", and I'm not sure that anyone wants them to hit the point where they have to sit dead in the water or go original ending because they caught up with the manga.

Well I just went to wikipedia and according to their page of hunter x hunter to manga came back on 10/6/2007 and will continue for ten weeks. then they put this link next to it http://manga.mangavolume.com/Manga/H...261)-02-03.jpg

Well, they were in production of a fourth OVA series, but it had been put on hiatus. Maybe it'll start its gears up in the next few months.

OVA 4 does not exist, though TBH, they could end it at G.I.Final just the way it ended if they really wanted to.
