Well, technically the only confirm airdate for Baka to Test II is sometime in 2011, so it's hard to say who's right or wrong...(Most speculate it being in April, it could be July, though...).

I mean, the only Spring 2011 chart that's out is a widely known fake...

Seeing as though Misaofan has not posted any source to his/her claim that the series will start in July, then i believe we can say it's fake.

Ok that's... underwhelming? I'm seriously not seeing anything that catches my fancy and it's been a while since that happened. I'll probably take a look at what Shaft is doing since it's Shaft and Shinbou but that particular anime sounds way too out of the ballpark for my tastes

Oh well, I'll just keep watching what carries over from the fall season and see if anything get's popular enough to merit a peek at least.

An interesting season is ahead of us, and I'll certainly miss the current, ending season.

I'll be trying:

Gosick
Merry Dream Eater
Mahou Shoujo Madoko Magica
Houkago
Rio - Rainbow Gate
Dragon Crisis

Mostly looking forward to Houkago, Gosick and Merry Dream Eater.

Have any anime blogs made a big, detailed preview of the winter season yet?

Excellent observation.

This is the one main thing about anime over the last two years that I've missed a lot. We haven't had anything over that stretch on the level of TTGL or Code Geass.

In fairness, Star Driver comes close, but it's not quite there, imo. I still like Star Driver a lot, but it just doesn't enthrall me the way TTGL or Code Geass did.

That is a big list! Bones haven't been exactly stellar these past few seasons. I took fancy of few A-1 and AIC shows considering their themes tend to be pretty simple and not that over the top. I also see a couple of Shaft and Madhouse shows although Ironman by Madhouse was yuck. So what exactly can I look forward to? hmmm... What to do? Why I need read some synopsis. After reading a few synopsis, I like the followings:

"I don't like you at all, Big Brother!" How can I not? She throws away all of her brother's porn, except the incest kind. Just when I thought the show about breast-milk is where the limits are drawn, I find that I've merely scratched the surface of limitation.

But before I look to undertake any new shows, I need to watch the piling series' from this season and the last.

Well Mirrai Nikki OVA left me disappointed. Was a teaser/extended trailer more than an OVA and a pretty bad one at that

Shoboi is a good source for this - just paste the title (in Japanese) into the box marked タイトル and click the button to the right. For the shows you mentioned, it gives the following info (Japan local time, normalised for the 24-hour clock):

Gosick: 2011-01-08 at 01:23 on TV Tokyo
Merry Dream Eater: 2011-01-09 at 02:28 on MBS
Mahou Shoujo Madoko Magica: 2011-01-07 at 01:25 on MBS
Houkago: nothing listed yet
Rio - Rainbow Gate: 2011-01-04 at 23:00 on Tokyo MX
Dragon Crisis: 2011-01-11 at 01:30 on Chiba TV
