Now, they want us wait until September 23 for the BDs? What is this, a Miyazaki-level masterpiece or the next Kimi no na wa that's so exceptional that it merits a 11-month wait?

Nothing's as satisfying as a series with a definite and real ending, I'll say it again, I hope more series continue this trend of actually finishing an anime adaptation.
Heh, it even looks like this conclusion is better than the source material which is nice. As for whether this ending is any good, I'd say it is. There's no twist here, and the best scene for me might that time when Eriri and Utaha were facing the sunrise and hurt their eyes a bit

I like that "alternate ending" that Utaha wrote as the post-credit scene in the movie .
My main (and only?) complaint for the movie is that it's not all that cinematic. There are almost no money shots where they show you a lavishly-produced scene or sakuga to emphasis that this is indeed a movie, not just another TV episode or OVA. Heck, even Doraemon movies in the last two decades are more cinematic than this Saekano movie. Anyway. This is a real nice movie & I enjoy it a lot as the definitive ending of the anime I've been following. And yes, I like that Megumi won while Utaha & Eriri are able to move on (only to come back after the time skip to troll the main couple again ).
