I also believe that there was a bit of Metropolis (1927) thrown in there for good measure too.

Poor Sky High though.

He'll be fine as long as he doesn't figure it out. He'll be like Hachiko though.

Spoiler for 15:

BTW, someone remembers the hero rankings before Jack? I'd like to compare...

What's with the ring Barnaby's wearing. He's been wearing it after episode 13.

Episode 15 was kinda tragic for Sky High. When she didn't showed up at the park, (for obvious reasons) he accepted it with a smile and carried on. In the end, it looks like he's at peace with just knowing that she helped him out. (T_T) (salute that man)

As for Tiger, I had a feeling that this was case for him since it looked too good to be true. I just hope it doesn't mean the end of his hero career anytime soon. I also didn't appreciate the Bunny centerfold/swimsuit type deal......I actually had to look somewhere else during that time so I didn't get a chance to read what he said. If it was Karina or Agnes? My nose would be smearing the screen at that moment. Sexist? Yes, it is. No apologies here.

On a side note, I like the fact that Cis looked a lot like Dorothy from The Big O. It's a nice touch to his former work. I also like the scene where Sky High was on top of a building while his clothes billowed in the air. The way he put on his cowl...I mean, helmet, is a nice reference to Batman: Phantom of the Mask.

I read it differently. He has no clue she won't be coming anymore, so he's just waiting. Poor guy.

Lol Sky High fell in love with an android that he took out, but was also the reason for getting him out of his funk. I wonder if he'll still look for her. Best part was the 3 girls giving him advice. So Kotetsu is at the end of his line, wonder what he'll do if he can't be a hero anymore. Just when Barnaby was over his revenge and his past his parents research comes back to haunt him.

That's how I read the scene as well. I felt so sorry for him.

THIS. Oh and he was the one involved with Big O?! That was a excellent show!

Yay!

And they did a pretty good job with it overall I'd say.

Shame it never got that third season. Never understood why either since both seasons were popular in the U.S. I thought to the point that such was the reason it got the second season.

I have to wonder if Kotesu is losing his powers or not, though I see no reason to doubt his old manager. I just found it a bit odd that Jake's power glows the same color that Kotetsu's currently does, so I'm curious if there is a connection there or not.

Maybe he's going to lose his power for a bit, and then come back with a second power like Jack?

If you mean the standings from episode 10, here's the list (sometimes, having a good memory pays off):

1. Sky High
2. Barnaby Brooks, Jr.
3. Dragon Kid
4. Blue Rose
5. Fire Emblem
6. Rock Bison
7. Wild Tiger
8. Origami Cyclone

Is there any chance whatsoever that it's actually Kotetsu's manager who's Mr. Legend - not Mr. Maverick? It would explain a lot.

The age and skin color aren't right. Then again, maybe Legend had a shapeshifting power?

I don't get the feeling that the cabbie/manager and Maverick are that far apart in age.

Really? He looked ten, twenty years older than Kotetsu to me. Legend's more in the 30 range.

I'm surprised Dragon Kid overtook Blue Rose. Then again, Dragon Kid does seem more efficient when doing hero work.

Yes. The robot Bunny's parents were making also looked similar to Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet (as well as the toy robot the parents gave him that we saw earlier in the show). I think there were a lot of classic robot nods going on in this episode but these were two of the the bigger ones (Robbie and Metropolis (maybe the Tezuka version as well and the live action version). I also thought there was a lot of nods to Big O but that goes with the territory, seeing the director also worked on that show.

Yeah, it brought a tear to my eye , so the director must be a softy for this sort of romantic sad ending as well.

I wonder if Cis' creator is a part of Ouroboros. If he was, we'll probably know why exactly Jake went and killed Barnaby's parents soon enough.

1. The girl was actually an android!! Sky High should've known that the girl was actually trying to kill the Heroes.

2. WHAT IS GOIN ON HERE?! Who was a mysterious man anyway?! That man who created an android (Cis) has the TRUE reason behind Barnaby parents!! wasn't that Jake who killed them?!

3. Is this could be the end of Kotetsu? It has learned that when his power runs out, he will die (?).
