What am I misunderstanding about Ainz's goals?

In Volume 1 he adopts the name of his guild as his own so that it may spread. He wants other players to hear of it. But, if they hear of it & recognize it then they'll know its the "evil" guild and would be able to find out their general location.

In Volume 2 it seems he doing a 180˚.

As AINZ he is going to spread his name trough great deeds (be them good or evil have low importance... the important thing is that they have to be great ^^)

as MOMON he is just testing the water of the outside world and gathering information...

the goal is still that fixed in volume one... but he first need the basis to move around and doing that as AINZ could have a negative effect on the image he want to build (presenting AINZ as someone that doens't know a thing about how the world work will be detrimental... but if he just appear as a nobody adventurer than there is no problem...

also if him as Momon actualy end up doing something great... he could always reveal himself as AINZ or as AINZ companion/subordinate in order to gather back all the popularity he acquired with this second alias... and if things go wrong he can simply make MOMON disappear without hindering his plan ^^

It's no problem if they know that Ainz, the guild, exists in this world since it's connected to the game YGGDRASIL and elements from the game would bleed through. The problem is a (possibly hostile) player knows another player (Ainz) exists and where he might be, since the gold coin Ainz would spend would circulate within an area and one could guess that the player (Ainz) who spent that gold coin was in that area.

No one is a human in Ainz Oown Gowl. That's a rule. Human seems to be synonymous with 'humanoids' in this story, however. Maybe Narberal has a crush on Mare?

Also, I just noticed that chapter 2 part 2 of volume 1 is missing?

No one is human...between the 41 creators, maybe someone wanted to make the most standard butler ever and created the human Sebastian.
I loved the last chapter, the reaction of the trio to the potion Ainz left behind just for avoiding troubles was really funny.

Sebastian isn't a human. He's of the dragon race.

And like I mentioned, I said human seems to be synonymous with 'humanoid'. Aura and Mare, as Dark Elves, were listed as 'human' races.

I read the version hosted on google and found a confusing part due to the choice of words.

I get what you are saying, but I feel like Ainz didn't think it through.

Spoiler for Lines from the translation: "I knew she had a legendary item before, but how come she has two now?" In all of Yggdrasil, there were only 200 legendary items. Each of them had their own unique ability, and some were powerful enough to destroy the game balance. Of course, not all of the legendary items had such game-breaking abilities. I'll explain in my spoiler why it's confusing. Spoiler for Item information: Albedo doesn't have two legendary items she has two [世界級アイテム（ワールドアイテム）] or World class items. There's only 200 World class items and she has two. Legendary is an actual rank which is way below it. ギルド武器 (Guild Weapon) The staff which Momonga uses and was created by the whole guild 世界級アイテム (World class Item) Only 200 exist, his guild has 11, and Albedo has two of them 神器級（ゴッズ） (Gods/Divine class item) Momonga has these in every slot 伝説級（レジェンド） (Legend class or Legendary) I wanted to contact the person who edits it, but I'm not sure who does.
