Nanare Hananare (Nanare -Cheer For You!-)

New P.A. Works anime. About 6 schoolgirls with different talents in Gunma Prefecture.

Pretty typical for the studio. Will come out next year.

These are their strongest works. Hopefully, there won't be any Aquatope on White Sands level "controversies" with this one.

If anyone was still in doubt. Yes, it is an anime about cheerleading team:

To dispel any misconceptions:

1) Complaints about the colouring are not valid, since different series use different art styles
2) No damage actually happened to the rooftops
3) You're not a medical expert, and Kanata is shown standing back up after

For other readers, just so there's no agreement with above (or the absurd, undefended claim that P.A. Works makes "bad" shows): this isn't a cheerleading or sports anime about competition. All of the characters have different skills. Suzuha does parkour, Anna is an aspiring content creator, Nodoka does yoga, and Shion is a gymnast. Both Megumi and Kanata are cheerleaders, which means 4 of 6 aren't cheerleaders. Pulling Kanata out of a competition environment and adding in a varied group of characters means there's going to be more at work than the generic journey towards winning competitions here in Narenare.

1. It's an opinion
2. Don't jump on rooftops
3. And that's why it is absurd

Don't worry, this anime will bomb
Ahh, BTW, Aquatope was like, what? 300? 400? Haha. PA's bad original animes

It is no fault of P.A. Works that the otaku in Japan couldn't relate to or find inspiration in The Aquatope on White Sands because they spent more of their lives gaming or living on message boards than they did contributing to society. In fact, if the anime made them uncomfortable to the point where they refused to buy BDs, good.

I liked the first episode and the kissy Brazilian, tentatively picked up. The color scheme is fine IMO.

Admittedly Aquatope sucked but Shirobako and Sakura Quest were both pretty great. The yuribros went a bit overboard with Aquatope too, which didn't help. Just keep PA Works away from action, I'm still not over Fairy Gone. Appare-Ranman was kinda fun though.

Anna remind me of hanamaru's hanna but this time it's not her that is doing the parkour

Well supposedly it isn't all CGDST, though the sports certainly overshadowed the others.

Also, the cities they live is a bit more occidental since she catholic see more proeminent and cheerlader is more western stuff

Introducing six characters in one episode was a little overwhelming, but that actually does have merit and hints at where this series is going.

The end definitely got my attention. I was curious what exactly was going on with Kanata, but think it finally came into place. It was obvious that the start connected to why she's no longer on a cheer team (though apparently didn't let her friend know that). But it wasn't wholly clear what was up there. I thought it might have been due to an injury at the meet, but she wasn't the one hospitalized here. Although the other girl's issue appears to be illness related. But yeah, with Kanata it seems safe to say the jump went badly and she couldn't bring herself to do it anymore. Thus the accidental flight in this episode being a kind of breakthrough moment for her .

Decent first episode with all the jumping around and starting out with that cheer routine. But it has me curious to see where it goes. So at least I'll keep watching for now.

Hey, in a way, I liked Fairy Gone. It's one of those anime you know no one else in the world watched to the end except you (righteously so), and that kinda gives you bragging rights
