My vote for Eucliwood is strategic. Of the three girls that can still win the Tiara, I have a strong preference for Kanade. My slightly educated hunch is that a lot of Eucliwood's regular voter base are also people that consistently vote for Kanade, making Eucliwood the ideal Tiara match-up from Kanade's perspective.
The other votes all reflect my sincere moe preferences, although Mio vs. Azusa was a tough call. ARENA 01: [Eucliwood Hellscythe] Aisaka Taiga ARENA 02: [Nagato Yuki] Misaka Mikoto ARENA 03: [Akiyama Mio] Nakano Azusa ARENA 04: [Saber] Yui ARENA 05: [Shana] Nakamura Yuri ARENA 06: [Suzumiya Haruhi] Hasegawa Kobato ARENA 07: [Kashiwazaki Sena] Kōsaka Kirino ARENA 08: [Chitanda Eru] Sanka Rea ARENA 09: [Kuroyukihime] Miniwa Tsumiki ARENA 10: Akai Ringo [Oginome Ringo]

Fairly easy match. Abstained the last exhibition because I didn't like one girl and I didn't know the other girl.

As for exhibitions, I didn't like Hyouka, and have no real desire to vote for Eru, but may do it on occasion. I didn't like Accel World either, and I probably won't even finish it, but damn, Kuroyukihime be awesome.

No matter what happens, we will have two new faces going after the Tiara. If Kanade fans are smart, they will vote for Eucliwood, since Kanade will have a much easier time defeating her than someone like Taiga. Taiga has been known to do the impossible time and time again, and she could very well beat Kanade if her fans are not careful enough. Then again, is there anything stopping Kanade from winning the whole thing? My vote goes to Taiga, as it would be less boring as a final than Eucliwood and Kanade.

I'm really split on this,on one hand I really want a HanaKana character to finally win a saimoe tournament so I'd vote Eucliwood to make things easier,on the other Taiga winning it all would be kinda historic because she'd be the first character to win all three major Saimoe tournaments.

So, here's the thing - If Taiga is the first Triple-Crown Saimoe winner, then that clearly implies that she is the most moe character of her era. Do you think that she's the most moe character of the past several years? Or at least in the top 3? Perhaps these are questions you (and other undecided voters on Eucliwood vs. Taiga) should ask yourself before voting on that match.

And somehow Eu gain this much strength and knock off first Biribiri, then Taiga...again, it was not even close. And no, to this day and point I still don't get what so moe about Eu at all.
And thus, a final matchup b/t two nearly identical girl (except, well, Tenshi is a lot more moe). Tenshi destroy Eu in regular season, will see what happen here. And Kobato lose to Haruhi . Kobato won in HK, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, US, and take SE Asia (Not clear win, though) and of course, lose I'm guessing, b/c of those pesky Mainland voter... And Mio won against Azu-nyan in a reversal of fortune from regular season. Guess strategic voting is the only thing that bring Azusa > Mio... Lastly, I'm really surprise that Akai Ringo won. I was sure that with Penguindrum being more recent, and Okami-san not exactly being the most popular anime ever (I mean, other than the narrator, that series is really meh...), that Oginome Ringo would win fairly easily. Guess I'm wrong. Last note: I'm really disappointed at those two exhibitions in upcoming round. I mean, who exactly are this four girls again? And yes, I did search and it's not like any of them are extraordinary popular girl that I only miss b/c I wasn't following anime as closely back then. Rather, as usual it's 4 girls that nobody knows...

This year's ISML final speaks to the incredible staying power of Rei Ayanami, and the character type that she popularized (note that TV Tropes lists both Kanade and Eucliwood as examples of this character type).
Rei herself is essentially "retired" of course, but her legacy lives on. If you want to know why Eucliwood is so popular in ISML, I can think of no better explanation than this - She's one of the most recent examples of a very popular character archetype that NGE made famous. Eru and KYH both do extremely well, suggesting that they might be serious players next year in ISML 2013. With that in mind, the upcoming match between the two of them is a very big match, and it's also going to be a very tough call for me. I'm with ion475 on Arenas 9 and 10... If avoiding Sakura Kinimoto meant you guys had to dig this far down into the ranks of anime female characters then maybe you should have made like Tomoyo and focused your camera on Sakura! ... Solty Revant, wow, now there's an obscure name from the past that I never dreamed I'd see in a modern ISML match. I liked her a lot, but Solty Rei is one of the most obscure anime shows I've ever watched.

See my Wikipedia?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:KyuuA4#User My choice in this final is obvious. If she loses, I blame the whole lot of you. Now, that I haven't paid much attention to this all through the year. Heck, I missed out on the playoffs. I am happy to see the results -- so far. Now to finish off the deal.

By the way guys, we split up the exhibitions this year. We thought that the SEASONAL tournament should provide the "familiar" faces, but we had to balance that out with "more obscure" characters like in arena 9-10. So in short, the reason you don't recognize the exhibitions is because most of our exhibited characters this postseason are from 2012.
