Actually, I own the manga, and I don't feel that Asuka got shafted. It's that Rei really got pushed to the front, and given YS's schedule, he chose to focus on that subplot. As for having a crush on Kaji, I don't see why on its own, the idea is bad. She's a teenage girl. Shouldn't she have silly crushes?

Speaking of which, where is my book 12?

Waiting in the same depths of Hell, along with the next chapter of Berserk.

Sadamoto has been like way too busy working on the Eva movies and Hosoda movies, right?

YS is always busy. To him, the manga is probably a side project, which is also his pet project.

Sadamoto has been like way too busy jerking off on all the money he got from the original series.

He probably just squeals whenever he thinks about drawing another chapter and goes back to wanking.

Seriously, I've never seen the man ever working. He makes some character designs every couple of years and then disappears into oblivion. Not delivering the NGE manga in the process.

Now, I'm not hardcore enough to subscribe to Shounen Ace, but I just wish to know which of the issues have had the chapters.

P.S. The magazine readers are probably laughing their heads off as they read this.

I'd frame them with gold.

Don't feed the EVA merchandise machine further.

Really beautiful scenes and awesome animation.

It also seems like the EVAs are getting more armaments if they haven't got enough. I'm looking forward to the F-Parts.

It's wierd on how me and shinji is similar. That ending for the tv series made me realize to love myself. To not be afraid of what others feel or think about. I can change myself by changing my mind. I can make myself a greater value. I know what my self is now.

Well there is a fundamental coming of age teaching somewhere in all that Eva shenanigans. Its good to know you learnt something from the series, and not the hard way like Shinji did (lol I dont think there is a harder way then what Shinji went through).

I had that knocked into me by the TV series when I was your age (although a little older; I was 15-16 at the time). More importantly, this series launched me into the world of manga and anime, and I haven't left since.

Eva gave me depression when I watched it during puberty years lol

I watched it on TV, on bootlegs, I've rewatched it in Japanese, Chinese, English and Cantonese.

But its just another anime that I watched, I've been watching anime and reading some manga since even younger.

Well, you always have a special place in your heart for the first anime you chewed over and tried to make sense of. I have seen anime before Eva, but Eva was the one which blew the door open to this world of many dimensions, where you, as the viewer, are a traveller between worlds, taking in the wonders and sorrows of each world.

Eva is quite an intense first anime to watch lol

It did affect me alot, it got me thinking for years, until fansubs came and I watched more anime.

I still remember many things that Eva taught me and is reminded by SRW.

Also for some reason Asuka was my favourite female mecha character until Gainax created Nono.

I'll be going to the cinema to watch 2.0 as well, we waited for the crowds to disperse for the remaining weeks before we watched 1.0 lol

Perhaps, "intense" was an understatement.

Over the years, I've recommend it to a friend. We laughed at it, talked about it, made in-jokes on it. It's an experience, to be sure.

What's interesting is how Anno will handle it from here on out.

In the last few issues of my beloved Newtype USA, Anno said he wanted to make it more accessable to a wider audience, so I count on two things

A simplification of the whole NERV/Angels/Second Impact mystery gobbledegook

A brightening of the outlook and behavior of the main cast (BUT NOT TOO MUCH)

Anno-sensei isn't off Prozac or in depression this time round, so things might make more sense, and make us cry less.
