Im not sure how to describe it but im looking for animes with a main character that keeps improving his/her fighting skills, the dragon ball kind. But it must also have some romance... it doesnt have to be some epic love story but a girl must be involved xD

Examples of what im looking are. I know i've seen a lot already but im asking just in case i missed any good one.

Kenichi
Flame of Recca
Fate Stay Night
Zero no Tsukaima
Kaze no Stigma
Shakugan no Shana
Shounen Onmyouji
Busou Renkin
Gundam Seed
Bleach
TTGL
Elemental Gerade

I dont want animes like hunterxhunter or Law of Ueki.

Off the top of my head, I think Scryed fits the bill although I'm a bit hazy on its romantic elements.

Nadesico might meet the requirements, but I'm sure you've already seen it.

There's Outlaw Star, but the growth of the main character's fighting skills are more subtle than the power ups that you would see in dragon ball or gundam seed.

Also, Hajime no Ippo (boxing) might also work but it's been so long since I've last seen it that I can't remember how much romance there was.

Does Outlaw Star has romance in it? Im not looking for DGZ growth in the animes... but the main char cant be a wuss that cant do anything -.-

How about.... Macross Frontier?

A bit of an odd pick, but it's about the main character trying to be a better pilot, and its brimming in romance.

Yeah Macross Frontier has been on my Want to See list for a while but since it is an old anime (im kinda picky bout animation qualities), i've been trying to avoid it xD

Are there any other good action / romance with good animation quality animes out there?

You sure you're not confusing Macross Frontier with the original Macross, because Frontier is an '08 series that's still being aired (17/28 eps so far). That one should definitely be at the top of your list for action+romance+eye candy.

Im sure i was confusing it with the old Macross lol. Ill check Macross Frontier when it finish airing.. although the animation doesnt attract me very much.

Any other suggestions ? =)

k, last post for the night....Utawerumono - one of those that starts from a small and humble beginning and then grows into an epic tale. Kinda like the way TTGL did it. There's a romantic sub-plot as well as some harem aspects to it. The action is fantasy style with some CG added.

You've probably already seen it but since it's not on your list Yu Yu Hakusho. I think it's just a better version of Flame of Recca

agree! yuyu hakusho is better than recca...

the fighting scenes are better too! though the arts in the first ep's are not good
as the ep's go on it gets better and better!

you could give claymore a try ^^ it has all the action you need
but i dont think its romantic (thats what i think)

looking on what you have seen already wouldn't you be looking for something more with action and character development and stuff?

i would reccomend that you watch Samurai deeper kyo

and maybe for some funny anime with action(not much but it has some) and some romance you could try:
Rosario + Vampire
Girls Bravo
Dears

its not much but i hope it helped... i myself am not much into the romantic stuff but you could give it a try ^^

Kekkaishi maybe. Guess you have seen it as well though... Do not know how the romance developed though, I havent seen it till the end yet.

You've seen just about everything. You should be able to make your own suggestions by now!

But anyway, I'll give it another shot since my Macross Frontier suggestion was a bit of a miss. How about giving Getbackers a shot.

Also, Tokyo Underground is an older anime but VERY similar to flame of Recca, don't know if you've seen these two.

i know and i do a lot of suggestions myself =D As i mentioned on my first post, i just want to make sure i didnt miss anything.

code geass - its a 99.9% chance u have seen or are already watching this considering all the animes uve watched but if u havent u dont kno what your missing!)
