I'm for the All Blacks, but I haven't been following the world cup though. I do normally watch rugby games when they're on TV. Btw why didn't you put the South African team? Were they eliminated?

Hmm..I dont think you can watch Rugby in the US =(..well I guess on satellite on some channel up in the 500s perhaps..

This is very strange since American Football is probably the most popular sport in US (shares with basketball maybe), and it is very similar to Rugby.

HA! Ruby sucks compared to American Football. Of course I would never say that within a mile of any rugby player i've ever meet, those guys are scary.

No actually I can't say that because ive never watched rugby in my life and from what I hear it is probably the most violent team sport there is. If I understood it and could actually watch it I'd probably love it. Does the U.S even have a team?

According to the above website:

"One day in 1823, a student from Rugby School of England, was playing soccer football. Suddenly, he thought the game was too boring, so he picked up the ball and ran ahead to the goal."

LOL, I always thought this was a myth . Also..:

"And rugby is safer than American football, that you won。ヲt see rugby players wearing helmets or shoulder pads."

What's strange about this is that you would think American football is safer because they wear pads..

All I know is FMP:F had the funniest anime Rugby interpretation I've ever seen .

Thanks for the link! Yeah I was also suprised to see that rugby is safer that american football. The only reason I can think of is maybe because of the pads and helmet, defenders can hurl their bodies into each other at much greater force, and I guess football players are probably bigger too. Even with the padding if a 400 lb man (Gilbert Brown of the Packers) hits you at full force while your running full speed also, it might hurt a little more even with the pads. Also, while kind of rare, its not unheard of for football players to break their necks and live the rest of their lives paralized. On top of that, I dont know about rugby but some football teams play on astro turf which is nothing more than concrete with about a quarter inch of padding on it, which is why more injuyies occur on turf (and more teams are trying to replace it with new types of field turf).

But all in all, it was interesting. Maybe i'll have to stay up one night and watch a game on ESPN2, I think they've shown a game or two real late at night.

Well, England have the best team, it's more or less a question of whether they can get their act together. If they can for the semi-final, it's difficult to see them getting beaten. If not, then the title will probably fall to New Zealand.

Ah, form is temporary, class is permanent. I'll go for England.
