Rimuru actually very openly announced that Rimuru will "in lieu of the Storm Dragon Veldora" protect the goblins back in episode 2 and it's likely that Treyni got her information about Rimuru's connection with Veldora (not neccessarily proof for the fact that he ate him, though you can probably infer it from the known information) back then. As for Predator... there was both the situation with the papa wolf as well as with Ifrit, where he used that Skill.

So based on that Treyni doesn't need to know what happened inside the cave for these two points.

However Rimuru only ever mentioned "Great Sage" when talking to Veldora. More importantly, their discussion was entirely telepathic both when talking to Veldora and "talking" to Great Sage. I don't think the Dryads could easily "listen in" into their talk even if the yet ungathered Hippokute Gras could be used as a medium to witness their meeting. So it's likely that they know about Predator and most of the events surrounding Rimuru other than what happened inside Dwargon, but not about Great Sage or the fact that Rimuru possesses two Unique Skill rather than just one.

If they dryads know everything that goes on inside the forest then they would at least know that the dragon disappeared, but not necessarily what rimuru did inside to make the dragon disappear, including his 2 unique skills.

That clears things up, thanks!

"That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" 2nd-cour anime key visual. Starts January 7th

Spoiler:

Manga/WN/LN readers will be confused looking at this

Yes, it indicates that some stuff is going to be "rushed".

Well, when I say "rushed", it is still slower paced than the average LN adaptation, so it's not really that bad. It's just weird that they suddenly decide to flip from "very slow" to "slower than average".

Also until now I had expected a second season by 2021. But now it seems that will only happen considerably later because the manga will have to cover more content first.

This is based on Light Novel, so who cares about manga adaptation?

That wrong
Anime adaption is the combine of Manga and Light Novel

I appreciate reading this confirmed. I didn't fully trust my memory of the WN, so I went to this thread to check after seeing those pictures.

I'm tentatively optimistic about this decision, because I think (if memory serves) it'll mean a fantastic stopping point for the story. Nobody likes rushed adaptations, but at least they didn't rush the most important part, the beginning which is supposed to make you care about the main character. Mission accomplished, everyone loves RImuru. And if people want a lot of satisfying detail, hopefully they know to just read the manga or novel.

Excellent stopping point? Sorry, but I have to disagree on that. It's not only a huge cliffhanger for an ending spot, but also a... cockblock for anyone who knows the source material because it "ends just before it's getting good".

Assuming we both talk about LN vol. 4 (not WN) being the stopping point, that is.

LN vol. 3 would have been much better as a stopping point. In contrast vol. 4 is probably the worst of the worst as a stopping point, unless it stops part-way into vol. 4 instead of finishing it to the very end. Actually leaving just the last part out would already suffice.

That's also half the point of (most)anime. You want to know what happens next? Go buy the LN/Manga/source material. Don't forget that a lot of anime are just elaborate ads to get people to buy the source material.

Or, you know, they're just doing exactly what they've already been doing with all the advertising and OP/EDs and such of this show, and showing stuff that they won't get to.

I don't think they make two-cour shows for such a purpose anymore, escpacially when taking the cirumstances of how this anime adaptation got going in the first place, into account. As things are going, the story in the anime will stop right around the point in the story where it catches up with the manga's magazine release, I think. I don't like it because it means that rather than 2021 (which I thought previously), we probably won't get a second season until 2023 or so, unless the following season(s) only end up being one-cour.

Do you mean that they'd go as far as to include the voice actors of characters who wouldn't even appear in this season in that case? That would be very elaborate false advertising, if I may say so myself.

One of the best action pack episode I have even seen in anime alright
Fighting scene from pure display of weapon skill to OP walking nuke
combine with great soundtrack is absolutely stunning

Orc General skill look extremely sinister compare to its manga and lightnovel counterpart made even better the wait for Orc Lord true power gonna be hard
Gabil show that he is indeed CAPABLE is a good too but his opponent is beyond his league
Gobta bring a badass again even without OP kill

This episode skip war preparation content
but this is still the best !! we have an episode full great fight after all

Is it still just 24 episodes? Seems weird that one OP/ED pair gets used for 13 episodes while the other only gets used for 11.

Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

This is very normal, since we are still in December, and there is a whole week of December to go. New openings don't usually happen until the start of a new anime season/cours. I'm positive that we will get a new opening the next episode, which will air in 2 weeks.

Seeing extend Gabil vs Orc General fight or Shizu scene also made me realize
we could see extend Rimuru vs Orc Lord fight as well and at this current quality
that would be too epic

lmao, this were from an intense military battle to fantasy Dynasty Warriors when Rimuru's group showed up.

I'm not gonna worry about eveyone being too OP yet since clearly just a fight have Rimuru and co flex their muscles. But yeah Ranga is something else and I even got a sense that Gobta might have been able to beat the Orc General with how causally he delfected that thing's axe.
