I guess it was a given that Amane would generally be a softy. Can certainly argue that sealing demons still isn't great, but there's probably only so much flexibility she has in her position. I somewhat wonder if she put Akutsu in this situation because she admits to not knowing what is done with sealed humanoid types. If it's a much worse situation than going into a dog shelter she might not have been keen on going there. Of course she does definitely still have a sadistic streak to her, but it's not a severe case.
These two continue delivering critical hits to each other's heart  . Both are falling pretty hard with their relative positions and pride being the big thing in their way going forward.Liz definitely has all sorts of appeal! Wow! No surprise Akutsu didn't get a whole lot of sleep that night  .I do think Liz probably should be more flexible with her testing. Akutsu is effectively undercover here. He'll have a harder time doing his job if she makes him take problematic actions with people he actually knows.

Amane and Akutsu are back at it! Trying to out-charm each other while two boxing animal dues pound on each other! And Amane is pulling out all the stops! From her overall cuteness, to her ponytail, to even her exposed collar!!! But Akutsu has masted his suave and charismatis so hard he's immune and dishing out so many critical hits against her
 !(Also Amane maybe shouldn't keep thinking of herself in the third person...) That was so a well-animated wall run into a rom-com mount (the romcom equivalent of a Dempsey Roll), but Akutsu just effortlessly twirls her around to stick the landing. Amane's not going to throw him off that easily  .Amane is so desperate she's even willing to go for an indirect kiss, but Akutsu's calculated vulnerability hits her instead. Even allowing herself to get wet is undone by Akutsu covering her with his jacket like a true gentleman. It's so bad that the two are even appearing in their boxing match world  !Ah, I see Akutsu's boss is into cosplay. Explains a lot .Yuka gives Amane the idea of go big or go home...which means taking Akutsu literally to her apartment! Now she has the home field advantage and the power of loungewear + an apron! She's going for it  !But instead of trying to continue to make the other fall for each other, the two of them...just start acting naturally and talking to each other like two dorky teenagers. Even Joe and Thiam, their boxing avatars, just give up fighting and instead enjoy all the romcom antics of their real selves. And the two get along surprisingly well  . The real clincher, though, is when they watch a romance movie (with sex) with the room dark and they land on top of each other...and both get overwhelmed by their emotion and feelings for each other as Akutsu leans in for a kiss...and Amane is saved by the alarm  !But the damage is done...as both dwell on their respective feelings, they finally realize the indisputable truth that they've fallen for each other  !

Man, Thiam took some hits this week! As expected. In a brawl Goku will find a way to make his hits count vs Luffy
.I do appreciate that the avatars took a seat once things moved past the competition side and into legitimate love comedy antics. Both sides swept up in the moment and losing track of trying to score wins against the other. So swept up that they really almost got taken out to sea by the momentum! Saved by the alarm there. Guess this can now transition to both sides being aware that they've fallen and now wanting to make sure the other side does!

The fighting scenes feel like shounen manga.
Does angel dream of a dating game? It applies to this one. Unknown to the angel, this dating game turns out to be a kuso game. Before she realizes what happened, some angel or demon hacked her carbon copy. She has to have a death match with her copy.

Both Akutsu and Amane have endured a sleepless night after their intimate experience together...but only Amane falls asleep in class and has to dream of a buggy dating sim with Akutsu. The multiple bald Akutsu heads will haunt me
!Amane was able to withstand multiple bugs and naked Akutsu, but can she handle Akutsu confessing to her and wanting to kiss her? Despite her best efforts, she's tempted to let the kiss happen...but then Akutus gets killed by a Waist Samurai! And Amane has to deal with Akutsu's death! Amane is crying and all because Akutsu didn't watch what he ate  !So, yeah, Amane ends up in the nurse's office and of course Akutsu visits her...though Amane is so fearful he wants to have his way with her that she chains him up and makes him spin his butt around. Also I love how she imagines herself with a bigger chest in all the sexual fantasies of herself she assumes Akutsu has in mind  .But Akutsu isn't horny (right now), he just wants the tattoo less noticeable so he can live a little! And Amane can't deny him, especially when they connect over their mutual difficult upbringing in their home dimensions .Of course editing Akutsu's seal is harder than it seems because out pops up a busty blonde avatar with an axe ready to kill Amane and Akutsu! It nearly killed sensei too! Even if he goes through the motions of a proper death scene for dramatic effect and has to get dragged away by Amane's chains .Who is controlling the Avatar? It seems like Amane recognized the seal and it made her shut down and cry, so it seems personal  .But Amane's still got Akutsu with her and together they're able to work together as a team and reseal the avatar! But that takes all that Amane has left  .Who is this brother and sister duo who were behind everything? Are they related to Amane  ?Akutsu trying not to ogle Amane while she's sprawled on her bed, but in her most vulnerable moment...she wants Akutsu there with her .

Wow. Her dream really bugged right out
. And she's really just picking up losses as of late. Even getting swept up in a nonsensical dream that wasn't doing her any favours. Though she obviously was having a good time...up to a certain point.Starting to get some threats that will keep forcing the main pair to form an united front. The hijacked avatar was a good initial test of their ability to work together. And they did pretty well considering Amane was freaking out over realizing who was interfering with her and while Akutsu still had his powers restrained. Might be a good idea to ease up those restrictions before the next attack.

We recap back to Akutsu being there for Amane after their big fight, not having the heart to leave her after she clutches onto his pants for comfort while she's resting in bed...who could resist such a plea
?Of course after Amane dreaming of how bad she has it for Akutsu, it's Akutsu's turn to dream of how bad he has it for Amane, whether it be his charming self telling him how Amane is clearly into him, spouting random English, or his shirtless teacher dragging him into a lecture on getting in touch with his feminine side. Which is pretty on-brand for Akutsu .I love how Amane wakes up, takes a shower, and changes into her PJ's...not knowing Akutsu was there the whole time. She's just lucky he was asleep .Of course Amane freaks out, but despite herself she can't help but be drawn to Akutsu and want to take care of him, especially after he went so far for her sake, and not only does she treat his wound she even changes his collar, free of charge! All the while fighting against the prospect of hugging him, despite feeling like she has to...and Akutsu's drowsy murmurings don't help !But she finally sits down right in front of him, and Akutsu unconsciouly embraces her, and the pair share a genuinely sweet and romantic moment together...only ruined because Akutsu ended up needing to break in through her window to get inside her apartment and has no money to repair it. But Amane is more worried about the fact that he probably Princess Carried her all the way back  !Man, Akutsu really earning those boyfriend brownie points by making breakfast for Amane when she wakes up! And better yet, the two settle into some genuinely domestic banter like an experienced couple as they sit down and eat. Too bad Akutsu missed a chance to have Amane feed him .Amane finds Akutsu radiant under the sunlight, Akutsu is grateful towards Amane for changing his collar color so he can finally bathe in public. These two just can't keep themselves away from each other! And who should catch them holding hands in public, right outside Amane's apartment building, than Yuka and Hirota? The pair have got some explaining to do  !I love Goku and Luffy are still watching the romcom hi-jinks .

Akutsu and Lily are screwed! Hirota in his dazed state has mumbled incessentaly about catching them in the act outside Lily's condo and not even an angel can handle the high school gossip ring! And Akutsu can't do his job properly if girls know he has a girlfriend
!So of course they have to act all casual and distant in class...with PROPER DISTANCING! Not to mention come up with some crazy cover story that Akutsu was attacked and turned to stone, complete with marbles coming out of his jacket. Totally convincing! Even to manga freak Koyomatsu  !But Yuka is their toughest enemy! She knows how to rile up Amane and she knows SOMETHING is going on between these two, and if she has to flirt with Akutsu to get to the truth, she'll do it! And if it makes Kensaku jealous, all the better! Though she better watch out or Amane is liable to kill her !Yuka even goes so far as to ask Akutsu out over the weekend! And Akutsu doesn't mind, especially when Yuka is so cute (especially in glasses) and he doesn't mind the view of her bountiful bosom .Of course Amane isn't about to let these two go off on their merry way without spying on them, and she's even roped in Hirota and Tanigawa in case she gets caught...and Tanigawa is there so she doesn't look like she's on a date with Hirota. But that might have worked against her, because Tanigawa is as emotionally intuitive as Yuka and has no problem digging the needle deeper in Amane over her obvious feelings for Akutsu .Though Tanigawa, to his credit, tells Amane AND Hirota to be honest with their feelings. Which also implies that Hirota might actually really like Yuka, deep down? He didn't seem as enthusiastic about being out with Lily when talking about it to Yuka .Amane can't keep fighting her feelings for Akutsu, though she can hide in water to avoid being spotted by him and Yuka...which might be a good thing the way she keeps overheating at all his compliments towards her !But of course Amane can't be honest about his own feelings, because he's still stuck on them being enemies, even if he wishes they were more and deep down so does Amane. Though it seems like he also realized Amane might've overheard him saying that .Oh no! Amane got hit with the dreaded Japanese cold! Worse still...her avatar has replaced her in class!? And her chest can barely be contained by her uniform !

Honestly, I really like Yuka. She's a great source of conflict and is a great tease. Even with Akutsu initially having suspicions...who can blame him for forgetting all of them when Yuka's breasts enter the equation? What evil could possibly come from someone gifted like that
?Best part is that she really is quite good at gauging things. Realized that those two aren't dating...yet. But she also picked up how jealous Lily was(which admittedly wasn't that tough). So at least she figured out that Lily's feelings are plenty legitimate and that giving a good push could be effective. Since it is still within her plans to hook those two up so to take away the dream of Lily from Kensaku. Lily really might want to keep her monologue...an inner voice sort of thing. Poor Tanigawa treated as an optional member there solely to avoid the accusation that she's out on a date with Kensaku who is there to prevent her from looking like a jealous stalker...which she is. Though admittedly he more than gets her back for that one . He's way more brutal than I would have expected! Just utterly leaning into the whole "wow they look like a cute couple thing." He knows what Yuka is going for and he's happy to play along and help. And he did try to give some good advice. If Lily is going to suffer over this then she might as well accept her feelings a bit more.Kind of good for Yuka that it sounds like Kensaku is struggling a bit. Obviously he's plenty Lily focused, but clearly it's not that easy to see Yuka with someone else. Ooof, that bit on the bench was good stuff. Both to hype things off and cool them off. In that sense credit to Akutsu for trying to keep his head rational about it. He knows where they stand in terms of a big conflict and that their goals hardly seem to align. Even if it doesn't align with what the guy himself would ideally want. Will see what happens with her avatar. Could easily see an "acting the way Lily wants but isn't willing to express herself" sort of thing. At the very least I don't see things being left alone here.

Oh snap, it's Amane's avatar in class! Looking amazing in that school uniform! And she can talk! And she's calling herself Lilia! And she's voiced by Kaori Ishihara
!Oh yeah, totally normal for an older sister to just appear in her little sisters' class to take it for her while she's out sick...and the sensei remembers enough about getting attacked to let it go .Lilia is a bit goofy, though Akutsu better watch out around her or he'll get lead to the face or get really smashed by a volleybally. Nothing "foul" about that. Also of course she wears bloomers for gym !So Lilia is basically a reflection of Amane's soul, and as such she understands her masters' feelings and is devoted to her...especially when her master let her be sentient. But as such, as much as she is apologetic for attacking Akutsu under someone else's control, she's equally incensed at his insensitivity towards Amane's feelings and inability to realize how he hurt her. But luckily Yuka is on the case and knows what's up .Twin tail Amane! Though she can keep her cool less around Lilia, especially when Lilia is liable to reveal all her embarrassing secrets to Akutsu and Yuka !Akutsu STILL doesn't get what the problem was, even when Amane is throwing all her jealous and bitter feelings towards him over seeing his date with Yuka, while just writing off her feelings as the cold, but Yuka knows better and knows to leave things with Akutsu so he can fix things between them and really be there for Amane like a good gal pal and wingwoman . Lilia implied Amane had a tough time in Heaven, and so was that what she was having nightmares about? And who else would she call to for help than Akutsu? And they even both engage in the possibility of not being enemies, a situation that would make their relationship easier ! It's kind of funny how we had two back to back sick episodes on Ayaneru Mondays, only this time it's the Ayaneru character that's sick and asking for their love interest to hold their hand. But it's equally as effective  !Of course who else should catch them engaging in intimate handholding than Lilia? Though the smile on Amane's face when she looks at her hand was worth it !Amane is fully recovered and ready to get back to work with Akutsu! Even willing to reward him with food! Too bad they run into Ryotaro Okiayu there for Amane !

Things are going so well for Amane and Akutsu! Which means of course the future in-laws have to show up and make a mess of everything
.On the surface Zwei seems like a pleasant and affable older brother, but Amane seems to completely change personality around him, and even Akutsu can tell something is up with her when she leaves with him .It really puts Amane's behavior towards Akutsu in the first few episodes in a different perspective watching her own brother put her through the same groveling position she put in Akutsu, and threatening to put a blade through her if she so much as lifted her head...and that's not even getting into how Amane seems totally subservient and broken down when it comes to obeying her family  .And it seems like the fact that she hasn't purified any humanoid demons is a concern for her family, especially when Liliana was tampered with by their older sister to go wild when summoned near a demon...so something is up. And Zwei has no reservations about torturing Amane to get answers  .Akutsu has tons of reasons not to get involved. He probably doesn't stand a chance against Zwei, it's not his neck on the line, and it saves him the trouble...but he can't ignore Amane's tears or her needing him now more than ever, as he enters the fray. Even if she was willing to undergo this abuse for his sake, Akutsu won't abandon her .And Akutsu actually does a decent job holding his own against Zwei! It's just too bad Zwei had no intention of playing fair, with Liliana held back inside Amane and a quartet of Zwei's avatars holding Akutsu down. What a scumbag  .And as if Zwei hadn't added enough insult to injury, he goes out of his way to completely humiliate Amane in front of Akutsu, tearing off her tights to show off the leg markings that are stuck on her, as well as showing that she was faking her angel wings the whole time. She's apparently some kind of "wingless" angel which might be a big reason why her family treats her so horribly. Though rather than make Akutsu give up on Amane, seeing the cruelty of her family and what they're putting her through, as well as the tears in her eye, seem to bring out the REAL demon in Akutsu  .

Well this definitely sets up what should be a strong next episode. Akutsu's anger has been set to the boiling point. Of course unless his powers get restored back to normal there's just no hope at all. Not that he's got great odds with this guy not being a pushover and Lily's mental state being ripped to shreds. If she can recover and maybe let out her own avatar they might be able to force this guy to back off. But it's hard to say.
What is clear is that Lily's situation was even worse than it looked. True enough that Lily could fake the wings against someone that wouldn't have any experience against other angels. But in the end she was doing her best to keep up her guard at all times. Whether it was hiding that branding on her body or her lack of wings. Doing her best to keep up a front, but the whole thing being incredibly fragile. Have a feeling it's the kind of thing where Lily definitely has wings, she just hasn't been able to bring them out yet. Being seen as wingless and being abused at home, likely left her without the will to even try and grow further. But for now her situation isn't a good one. I kind of wonder if Akutsu's boss will actually be the one to bail them out of this ? He did report in before jumping in there. So maybe backup actually will step in?
