Ragna Crimson is apparently getting an anime adaptation. Manga Mogura RE is quite reliable when it comes to manga related news.

Synopsis

In a world where dragons rule sky, sea, and land, those who would fight them and win must surpass the limits of normal human strength. Set on victory at any cost, dragon hunter Ragna joins forces with the mysterious Crimson. Crimson's motivations may be obscure, but their goal is the same: to destroy the dragon monarchs.

This is unexpected but welcome news. I've been a fan of this manga from the start, but I didn't think it was popular enough to get an anime. I'm happy for the author Kobayashi, this is the first work of his to get this far.

I saw the leak two weeks ago, but was not expecting it to be in early planning stage. Totally didn't expect an announcement this fast.

Anyway, a great manga that deserves to have an anime.
And about time Kobayashi gets rewarded for his hard work.

Oh, and please cast Hayashibara Megumi as Crimson. They have to.

I feel like I've seen at least part of this premise before. Episode was enjoyable enough I guess but we have yet to really meet Crimson; I'm sort of indifferent to Ragna. Its two cour so I'll probably give it a couple more episodes.

Chiaki did better than I thought as Ragna, although I still think he isn't a good choice.

And funny how I am having Gilzea all over my mind when ever I see Leo and Saix have their quarrel.

Considering the noticeably low budget of lack of BGM and any background character frozen in time, I'm surprised it got a 1-hour first episode
I think it got a bit better near the very end, but in the end, pretty generic stuff.

Also the OP sucks. I don't know what he was saying, but I did make out the multiple "Dooooo" part.

Well, I had feared this would be a bit too over the top and edgy, but so far it's been pretty solid. Gets the full three episoes to get a well-formed opinion.

If the edgy you are worrying about means Ragna's character, it is not the case.
Ragna is a full fledge コミュ障 who is also bad at controlling his emotion.
This made his partnership with Crimson a lot more troublesome than it has to be.

Well a nice start with the whole middle age look and dragons that they can only kill with a certain weapon but the whole traversing time is a little bit pushing it
