If its a SD series that would be a MASSIVE disappoint and many wont watch.I wont.

If its th CS era then that be awful but if they darken it and actaully make a half decent plot and have deep characters then it might be OK.

Really hope its in the UC ERA.Could be great if it was.Only era worth talking about.Top class.

A brand new series however in a new era could be interesting however.

4 Sunrise shows this fall... He's saying that Sunrise already has alot on their plate.

Anyway, the SD Gundam Sangoku show got pathetic TV ratings, so I don't know if Sunrise will want to continue that. Maybe a real Gundam show targeted at a younger audience? Or a Gunpla Builders type show.

The official Japanese portal site for the Gundam franchise confirmed on Monday that a new work in the franchise will be revealed via a live event on June 13 at 1:30 p.m. in Japan (12:30 a.m. EDT). The Bandai Channel website will stream the announcement event, but the service is normally limited to Japanese IP (Internet Protocol) addresses.

Looks like it will be a full-fledged new Gundam after all. It's also around the time that new Nichigo shows are announced anyway (2 months into the aired of whatever show has the slot currently).

It was never confirmed to be a TV series.

IIRC sunrise have its own studio specifically for gundam. they capable to make 2-3 gundam series at same time. consider 00 movie is finish, is not surprised that they have slot for making another gundam.

also my prediction is summer 2012 released

hmm ideas for it

1.return of gundam seed series era besides there still movie they still yet to give us.

2.maybe new seed series like a prequel series in years before start of seed series to give more to get what happen in the past.

3.seed series spinoff like next generation (yea focus new generation characters with some of originals back but now older & more experience)

4.finally we get a main lead female protagonist gundam pilot tv series 50eps version besides we seen male side so many times & let a woman take the lead.

5.a gundam series version of DECADE & gokaiger yea come let it happen bring characters for all gundam world in same series in biggest crossover ever.

really these 5 things must happen to do list & besides really those also the things they have yet to do especially 4th & 5th idea (yea 1st to 3rd is more GS era yes save us GS era).

no, the thing in the silhouette isn't a stache. It's a back weapon. those shoulders look like strike's though.

Super excited for the new series... but PLEASE, i really prefer the likes of Kunio Okawara (GSEED, Wing, and etc) , Hajime Katoki (Unicorn etc.), and Shoji Kawamuri (Stardust Memory) to do the mecha designs..

reason: 00's mecha design SERIOUSLY freaked (grossed) me out.. i mean, it's nice to "revolutionize" GUNDAM.. but some things are really better of the way they are..

seriously, 00's mechs are way more of an overkill . no offense to those who do like them

You have to elaborate a little bit, I really don't know understand in what way 00 revolutionized Gundam. If anything revolutionized Gundam, its G Gundam... now that show freaked me out.

Overkill in what way? Personally, I think 00 Mechas are as close to the intended real-robot scale as they can be.

If there were overkills, its the Strike Freedom & Infinite Justice. Not that I mind their overkilling beam spam, since I love them both dearly, but talk about hax...

Season 1 mechs were great, I enjoyed the skinny airborne Flags, Realdos, Helions and Enacts, as well as the tank like Tierens and Anfs.

Gundam 00's designs broke the 'traditional' mold for Gundam and grunt designs. Hell, they didn't have Kunio Okawara drawing anything (aside from the lame 0 Gundam.

Then again it looks like he's back for this show... sadly.

Funny how some people think so, considering G Gundam & Gundam Wing done that already. In my opinion, anyway.
