Re-reading the scene, it seems as if she did have an idea of what stopped her. Gido muses that deep down Arca must have been hesitant to murder Cruz in cold blood, but Arca's words after that seem to indicate that wasn't the case:

Arca: Impossible...I didn't stop! This isn't gravity or magnetism!! This is...but it can't be...!! It's "him"!

Arclight orders her to stand down in the next panel.

If we take Arca's words to be true, then she didn't stop of her own accord and fully intended to kill Cruz as a last desperate attack. Something else stopped her, something that wasn't Gyro Gravitation or Magnetic World. She seems to realise what it could be, but then expresses disbelief that whatever it was could have stopped her. Arca's last line also indicates that she knows who did it, although she doesn't name him.

In short, if Arca's thoughts are true, she was stopped by a man posessing a Fragment capable of instantly halting moving objects, one that doesn't use gravity or magnetism. A man she seems to know.

ShadowsAsgard@ This does make sense. But I still think that Arca mean something Inside Cruz. Whatever that thing is.

That's exactly how I viewed the scene, too. The only thing I'd like to add is how Aruka looked when she thought "あのお方が". She looked very frightened when she was thinking about whoever it was who stopped her. I think that's a huge indicator that it was not someone in the same room because she never showed that fear to Blade, Arclight, or Saten or anyone else in the series. Then again, I am drawing a conclusion from one panel but that's just what I think.

If i remeber correctly, when they were in memory world Saten did mention somethink like somebody going back in time to save blade and eve. It could be tha Cruz posses the power of time but it is currently seald or something.

I'd be wary of trusting anything Saten says. He clearly has a vested interest in keepin Cruz alive for some reason, and his goals seem to be entirely different from both Arclight's and the 666 Council.

I don't know. It seem that Saten know more that we think. One think it's sure Cruz it's special if some one like AnN and who know who want Him alive.

To build on this idea... in order to scare Aruka that much, it would have to be an extremely strong power. So far, the strongest players we've seen in this are the Heavenly Kings, Arclight himself, Blade and Strom (and Strom isn't even around currently). That means it would have to something that's potentially above the power of all the Needless... and there's only one power that fits that kind of tall order: The Second (and insert all the theories of how Cruz and the Second are possibly connected)

... come to think of it, perhaps Cruz unknowningly has a part of the Second within him, courtesy of Mengroze? Or did we already toss this one into the trash?

To sum all this speculation up I have a strong feeling we will all be getting our answers to all these burning questions that have lingered soooooooo long in the next chapter/arc. In the mean time all we can do is theorize and speculate and be completely surprised when we find out the truths.

And thank you Ynot also for uploading chapters 43 and 44.

When Arca betrayed him, it nearly killed him (literally), I hate to think what he would have been like after a second close betrayal.

As for Nanami, Misaki, and Kurumi, I don't think they would limit themselves to just attacking Mio right off the bat. Nanami and Misaki would be looking for any excuse to attack all three girls, after all their the one's who killed them in the first place. Kurumi would join in as well, especially if she found out that Cruz was their. He was the primary cause of her death, and I'm sure she would be eager for some payback. She might even hold Setsuna and the others responsible as well, seeing as they failed to keep her safe. Since Teruyama is present as well, he would be the perfect puppet for her to control. His clone was already under Simeon control, and it would be ironic if he was to be placed back under Simeon control so soon after coming back to life.

As a side note, I believe someone mentioned that the next chapter will have a color page, is this correct or will that happen on chapter 100.
I, too, am really glad Mio always stood by Cruz and protected him since post PF Zero blast. They're my two favorite characters too, besides Seto and Solva. And they make an even cuter pair.

Speaking of past KGS members, wouldn't it be something if Rin showed up as well to this fight?

I'd like to see Rin show up and fight again. She disappeared pretty quickly at the end of Bloody Rain and we heard anything about her since then. I kinda liked her but am not surprised to see her absent from this arc, especially since she was expelled from St. Rose and probably haven't ventured outside of Blackspot.

Thanks js06 and Ynot for the new chapter. Haven't seen js06 post here recently, do you know if he still checked by the forums every so often Ynot?

---

Lastly, just some random mumblings while on the topic of Cruz/Aruka/ANn/etc.

Aruka and Cruz had a pretty good relationship up until their time in the Resistance. In Chapter 12, you can see both at a church before a statue of the Second Christ on the cross and they act like a loving family. And in the flashback to Cruz's time at the clinic, you could see Aruka in the background. Obviously she cared enough to take him to see a doctor. Kinda wondering if Aruka is going back toward that state now (not completely but in that general direction) despite still being evil. Be interesting to see how she deals with these conflicting emotions.

Also, and this is off topic, I wonder what kinda surgery/prodecure Mengroze performed on Cruz. We know he's a brain surgeon specialist, so maybe something there? Kinda wondering why he's also in Blade's memories, too.

Spoiler for spoiler:

Bottom left panel. How could I not notice before, I'm an idiot...

Not to mention the "you should have Doppelganger but you don't" from Arclight to Blade.

And now I see that wasn't the first time Cruz called himself "needless".

^I'm talking about chapter 44 that has been translated just now. Arclight tells Blade that from looking at Eve he understood that his power is halved. Shortly put, Blade's Zero isn't PF Zero because of what we already know + the lack of Eden Seed in Blade's body.

And before, in chapter 92, Yamada called himself "truly needless", and it seems it wasn't the first time, back at Simeon HQ he also called himself "not needed".

understood what you mean now. Now that i think about it, to think that the answer was already there but we have to wait Eve arc for the full answer.
Now we only need the asnwer about what Aruka was scary about and Yamada+ AnN(then again I find always funny that both of them call themself true Needless)
