It was mentioned there is a lot of sexual tension between Inaba and Taichi in the novels. Did this tension start occurring before or after the "events" of episode 4? I would assume after, but I'm curious if the tension is directly related to episode 4's reveal or has become something else entirely. I'm sure it helped get things going...

Main story already ended on vol 6(vol 7 chronologically). Last volume is going to be a collection of side story, so I wouldn't hold on that hope if I were you, or make your own fanfic if you want to hold on to that pairing

Yume Random is the last main story. Step time(vol 8) is collection of side story. There will be one more short story collection volume according to the author's note.
