You might want to look up Sumeragi on these boards, who's the closest thing to a real life ojousama like Yui. (Having said that, I detest her immensely, as she's a smug arrogant ojousama living in an ivory tower, but she understands Moon Language and Moon Runes, so for the sake of Chronicles...)

- "Self-healing" is a misnomer, though. Basically what they want are aircraft surfaces that can 'morph' into the ideal shape for the situation (EG low speed maneuvers, high speed acceleration), and as a part of that, being able to cover up damaged areas (Self-repair) would be a no-brainer. The plane would still need to land back at base for a proper fix, but even rudimentary self-repair systems would ensure it gets back in one piece.

And before you ask: While self-healing nanoskin would sound really cool to use on a TSF, the reality is that a TSF would be gobbled up by BETA long before the self-healing would be of any use.

We're still waiting for the Sufoni version of the stealth TSF PAK-FA.

This got me thinking, wouldn't it be better if they create another alternate reality where it is US vs Soviet Union after an early BETA clean up, instead of US vs France.

The only way they'll introduce to PAK-FA in Alt-verse would be as a prototype after 2004 or something, maybe in an attempt to capture Evensk Hive.

Why?
-Soviets lost majority of their territory to BETA
-Soviets want to survive
-US cares more about Post-BETA war and remaining the dominant superpower

I don't think nanomachine can put a TSF back together when it's in pieces.

But seriously,I really have to double take on that one.

After BETA clean up in Earth, then come the Moon and the Mar. Then if it possible, wage war on the Creator for f%#king with the wrong planet. Wiping out the BETA in the Earth shouldn't take much time, but the real problem is developing a tsf that capable of fighting in space. As long as the Creator still exist, the BETA threat won't be over.

- Not as big a problem as you'd think. The first TSFs were based on space-use exoskeletons. Plus, you'd only need the TSF for a planetside attack on BETA--the existing SHADOW defense network seems to be good enough for stopping BETA landing pods, so you only need a ship that can stop the pods themselves in space, not TSFs. TSFs would be more use on a planetary/moon surface. So it's not so much space (as in zero gravity) as it is a hostile vacuum environment. The main concern would be space-safe fortified suits and cockpits.

Waging war on the creator, however, would need something a bit more nasty...

- not necessarily. I think they would take deisgn cues from the F-22 TSF.

Canards may mean forearm blades/plates like those on the Shiranui/Active Eagle. Probably less control surfaces as well. I would also theorize that it may be the first in a series of TSFs equipped to use a portable version of the Electromagnetic Launcher or even a beam weapon if they've gone to that stage. Sensors may be the most advanced possible on a TSF, maybe even good enough to detect Laser-class at longer ranges before they attack.

All just theory, though.
