Oh wow this is getting good. I loved the animation for the dual weilding fight between Aria and Riko. I can't wait to see what happens next week. I spoilt it by watching the preview some what, but damn that was good.

The series IMO has had even better moments than this, but unfortunately I don't think the anime's going to get that far.

Still the fight between Aria (Holmes) and Riko (Lupin) was pretty awesome to see animated, you can't often get scenes that awesome from a reading medium like manga or a novel.

Very ironic to see Riko, the most silliest character in the series, also having a very dark and semi-psychotic side to her. Any particular reason they didn't have her bite Kinji's ear this time and just lick it unlike the novel though? o3o

Interesting choice ending it with Aria getting shot right in the heart. Aria's obviously not gonna die since she's a main character, but I'd like to see the guesses on how she's gonna recover from such a thing.~

And Riko can manipulate her hair. There is an explanation why but I don't think the anime will get far enough to explain it. =/

What can I say, they apparently have money either for animators or scriptwriters, and this episode they opted to pay the first... no build-up, no transitions, and a cliffhanger only to be spoiled blatantly by the preview... at least try damn it

Anyway, at least the story is silly enough to laugh with; and not having scriptwriters to fix it would be plus

Interesting episode, though I'd liked to heard more about Kanae and why did she got blamed for the Butei's deaths. The Aria's tears sounded very real, not like the ones that I've heard so far in anime which looks just like faked.

Riko really got me by surprise on there, I did knew that she was involved but not by the Butei's killer side. Prooved to be more intellegent that I thought, but Kinji did the opposite... I noticed the clock's delay on that chapter, and as a Butei you should be paronoic all the time if a killer is around.

Other thing, what are the Riko's hair? It did looked very unrealistic that she came up with that, but unspected as well so I think it accomplished its mean. I guess that Kinji repented of not cutting her neck when he got the chance once she shot Aria, another thing that dissapointed me. You should kill the target once you got the chance, not just trying to arrest somebody which skills are way upper than you (his Hysteria Mode was already off I think).

Butei are not allowed to kill ever. And yes his hysteria mode wore off on his way to the plane.

if i had to guess maybe riko dressed up as the mom and did the crimes? i mean she was able to dress up as that flight attendant.

about the clock thing, hmmm. in the LN it was the watch instead. it got damaged and riko pretended to fix the watch, but she also changed the time.

riko's hair is a big spoiler, so you just gotta wait. and buteis dont kill people, its in their charter. like the "trust your comrades" "always fulfill your contract" they also have a rule "cant kill anyone at all".

her height would give it away... but she CAN pinpoint evidence linking them all to her.

also, if kinji turned gigolo amidst ALL the girls in Butei High, guess what happens... but still, a thousand sisters carrying FN F2000s, utterly emotionless and always stoic for Touma? my god...

Tch.. seriously whats with JC not properly developing the male characters? It just really irritates me.. anyway they did a decent job in this episode and conveyed it well. The next episode should be epic.

Spoiler for Aria's Mother/Crimes:

The court system has become a lot like the Pheonix Wright games in Hidan no Aria. Aria's mother has not actually gone to trial yet, but because of the evidence she was given an immediate sentence to be served immediately by the lower courts. The higher courts later on will confirm the lower courts ruling UNLESS evidence can be brought proving her innocence. Then she would have an actual trial.

Ok, Riko being the bad guy was one hell of a twist, although something tells me she becomes good after this...

But, one thing I don't get, but maybe I'm using too much real life logic here. But, wouldn't someone who had a knife to their brother's killers throat would just slice it the moment they had the chance? I mean, granted that it'll make the story less suspenseful/dramatic/whatever and all, but the incident concerning his brother was portrayed as something very deep with Kinji, so wouldn't the anger and emotional distress cause him to just slit her throat like a bleeding pig?

Butei cannot kill. It's very, very important. They pretty much are required to arrest criminals only. Yes Kinji was upset about his brother being brought up but even then, he is still conflicted a bit since Riko has been this silly classmate of his for a while. The gap between that character and her real character is kind of huge.

I'm not sure on this but I think if Kinji is 16. His big brother is 19.
