Dio certainly has some weird looking monsters around.
Seems like Zeppeli's teachings have significantly improved his fighting skills.
Jojo's grudge keeps on rising every time those two meet.
It's simply amazing how every time we see Dio he has some new powers.
He's also practically impossible to kill and not for the lack of trying from Jojo.
Don't think it's the last time we see Dio...

Episode 8 was fantastic. The art was top-notch and I loved how the color palette kept changing throughout the ep. Very Jojo-esque. The voice acting was excellent as usual, Koyasu is just too amazing as Dio (MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA).

Jonathan looked like Kenshiro more than ever this week. There was even a musou tensei moment at some point.

PS: Nutbladder's subs were off this week. Lots of grammatical mistakes, missing lines, and bad timing.

Nice move by Jojo to use the fire to thaw himself and that fire punch at the end. Though the preview shows that its not over yet. Wonder how Dio survived that. Oh man i want to buy the bd even more after seeing that cover, those poses are great.

Look like they saved some budget for that episode. The characters looks better but the animation is still limited. I gonna repeat myself but the good direction complete with appropriate music placement and PASSIONATE voice acting more than make up for it. It's an appropriate end for Dio vs Jonathan.

And if preview says anything, it will be time to get ready for that moment.

PS: Dear Dire, your Ripple-fu was terrible.

Well, makes me wonder why Jojo and co. didn't inform them (particularly Dire) of Dio's freezing ability despite being have seen it for themselves...

In the manga, Dire jumped the gun before JoJo could even tell him, Jojo did anyway, and I quote:

"Stop, Mr Dire. Dio has a hidden ability you don't know about."

but Dire already started and it was already way too late to think of a counter. As you have noticed battles in Jojo are trial & error. Hence why JoJo have not been thinking of using something else to channel the ripple until he have seen Dire throwing the rose.

Episode 8 was awesome. Seems like there was an animation bump too. As usual Koyasu was awesome as Dio. Okitsu was really good this episode as well. Looks like Phantom Blood's conclusion is coming next week. I can't wait for Battle Tendency.
