Eizan is probably stronger than Nene, might even be the 2nd strongest of his generation just behind Isshiki.

I guess it's meant to show they were pushed to their limits by the rebels, but it's a clumsy way to do it IMO.
You should not take this too seriously. Mental battles can be very exhausting.
But then again, should you think the exhaustion is ridiculous, think about the foodgasms

This.

Also, Sixth. I think you need to look at those parts of the story again. Eizan has never, even once, taken Souma seriously. You should also know this.

Iirc, Eizan wants to make money, rather than climbing the ranks of Elite ten. Him using petty tricks is just his nature.

Now that i think about it, almost everyone in the Elite Ten has a nickname or a theme.
- Eizan is the alchemist
- Nene is the artisan
- Saitou is samurai.
- Rindou is the wild explorer, bla bla bla
- Tsukasa is the white knight.

Alright kids everyone settle down. For those of you upset with the whole can't participate because of exhaustion, welcome to shonen manga, where most of the time it relishes on diving head first into tropes to get their story. You don't have to like it, just expect it. Second, can we not turn this into another power level debate when it comes to Eizan? Fact of the matter is, throughout his entire appearance in the series, his Alquimista title should just be him turning everything he touches into money, with very little showing of his food skills, and the fact that throughout said series he's been using nothing but cheap tricks to get what he wants instead of saving himself the hassle of Souma by just being serious, pretty much has taken away any real merit of us as the readers to take him seriously as an actual opponent, not because of Rindou's explanations, not because of the judges being his professional suckers of his dic, emm, associates, but by what the author has shown. Will this next bout show his actual skills as a chef? No doubt, but we still won't take him seriously as an opponent no matter how hard the author tries. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised that between the 2nd and 3rd bout days, Azami himself instructed him to throw a wrench at the rebel's plans because that's all he's been known to be throughout the series, a thug obsessed with profit and nothing more. Anyway, back on topic, you guys wanna bet that for the third bout one of the secret weapons for the rebels will be Souma bringing back the Mezzaluna?

Then he should have more reason to climb the rank because higher seat is definitely guaranteed more money and reputation power but he didn't. In other word, he couldn't.

He did. After all of his petty psychology trick failed, so he decided to cook, only to get trashed by Soma who is also unprepared.

Also, Eizan current seat is No.7.

The problem is the whole stamina thing/issue is never being used or brought up until now. I mean, like what, Tsukasa needs 2 days to recover his strength just because he cooked for few hours? Very weak excuse to write him off so he can't solo entire Team Rebel.

Until we see the reason why he was moved up a seat, and said reason involves him actually giving a damn about cooking, we're all gonna say he moved up a seat just to fill in for Satoshi and nothing more. I mean hell I find Momo and Soumei moving up to seats 3 and 4 more believable through their abilities rather than to fill up Tousuke's seat for lulz, same with Akira filling up Terunori's spot with his abilities, and Julio filling his spot. Ahegao cap whose name escapes me being the fifth seat, what'sherface announcer chick explained in detail how she rose to the ranks so in spite of her being one shotted by Tousuke, I still believe it. Sorry Sixth, we won't ask you to stop liking Eizan for A or B reason, however...particular that reasoning may be, but just as you want Rindou's fans to bring her down from her pedestal, do the same with him.

Regarding how exhausted they become after cooking, let's not forget this is a cooking battle where they have to make the best dish. When serving many customers, it's all about making enough dishes that are acceptable and so they don't have to be at 100%. But in cooking battle they need to ensure that their procedures must be as detailed as possible without making even a slight mistake, otherwise their dish won't be at 100%. This can be very exhausting physically and mentally.

If anything, Ann is the one who requires rest after all the foodgasms she just went through.

Physical fatigue combined with mental fatigue is, how should I put it, like having a ton of bricks weighin on your back.

Remember the power rankings the author made few months ago showing that:
Tsukasa > Megishima > Isshiki > Momo > Erina > Souma/Megumi/Takumi > Nene

It looks like it is true after seeing the latest chapter. Rindou is between Tsukasa and Megishima. Saitou should be somewhere around Erina's level. Eizan should be at least Souma/Takumi/Megumi's level but below Momo. Kuga and Mimasaka are probably around Souma/Takumi/Megumi's level.

Erina's plan was great. And yeah, I think Knighto's right. The problem that Rindou, Tsukasa and Saitou are facing is that of mental and physical fatigue being added on. If you read Erina's explanation of the plan and then look at what happened, you should get it.

Anyway, if Souma, Megumi and Takumi are below Erina, Rindou and Tsukasa, they can't beat Tsukasa and Rindou. Souma will have to team up with Erina and Isshiki for that bout.

lol I'm hoping Eizan took a vacation on his businesses when he lost to Soma and spent his time training so he can "kill" Soma.

Then loses to Soma.

That would be good. The fact that he'd have trained beforehand will make it an even more humiliating defeat. So good.

Rindo did say that if he didn't spend time on his counseling job, he would have kicked a few Elite Ten by now. So let's see him lose to Soma when he goes on a training spree (the potential to be in a top seat).

In the expense of Megumi by sending her to die against Saito or Rindo.

Am I really reading a cooking manga? @_@

Tsukasa can cook 9-course meals many times in a day but was drained 2 hours cooking a single course? Fvcking BS. Author needs a reality check.
