here's my entry for this month

Rikimtasu it's better but I still think than it shoujld have a border ans a background.
Marcus H. maybe make the background around tghe renders a ittle more bright.
Pachy there's a little too much effect over the uniform

Lol, yeah. Experimented on color a bit and maybe I overdid it with the saturation. >_<
I'll revert to the colors on v1 (thank goodness I got the v1 version on my Photoshop file) and will rework on that background.

I want to make this my Final Entry, as the source picture most definitely is portraying Heiwajima Shizuo in the male Raira Gakuen seifuku, but if there's any issues with the entry please let me know.

The Mikuru one is the best choice. Love the orange shade and nice choice for a pic too.

@ CMHerrera I have to agree with Cyz, your first try is better
@ Zwei may I suggeest you to cut a little your sig at the right, it'S a bit too wide.

Hmmm... the combination of Red and blue at the bg makes the sig a bit messy, since the render of oposite after all)

Removed watercolor effect and nudged the image so that less of the white border gets covered up by the lights on the background. Seems that its color is too rusty though.

Okay, looks better and the border style is more apreciable. Now, see the light at the right side of the bg? Well, at the render the light comes to the characer at the oposite side (left), I sugest making an horisontal rotation to the render so the light from the bg comes to the right direction in comparation with the render.

Perhaps there are to much efects over the render, makes it a bit hard to read or keep your eyes on it.

I conciderate the pink border a bit unecesary since is a very soft color. The sig itself looks a bit... simple, like a simple render sticked to a bg, it's not wrong but it's very atractive either.

The bright greens of the bg do not mix anyway with the soft browns of the render. Try a gradient map to make all colors follow an especific patter of colors.

You know? Even when it's known that in his anime, the character is wearing a school uniform, at the sig it looks totally as a casual outfit, I could do Harry Potter with his Howarts tunic as sig and even if we all know it's the Howarts uniform school, at the sig it would look like a tunic and not a school uniform, I think that's the idea here but still, Solace has the last word.

Honestly the dark sig looks less atractive than the bright sig, the text is quite simple and not really feeting at the Dark one either. :/

Yeah the combination of pink/violet is really bad honestly it also hurt my eyes.

that's just how it looks to you but it's not that simple and besides, the feeling of this theme doesn't urge me to do something flashy ^_^. However I'll definitely change that border cause yes,it doesn't fit in

Looked better than v1,however it is...kind of too blue to me.

You don't get it. It's not about giving us proof about who that is and what he wears. It's about the generic viewer immediately identifying the render as a school student, depicted by his uniform.

In this regard, your sig has failed, since it pretty much looks like an anime version of Indiana Jones and not a school student at all. In other words, there is no single evidence to convince a viewer otherwise from just looking at the sig.

Solace may or may not approve this sig, but from the SOTM logic standpoint, you don't have a chance.

Really good improvement, exelent choose of colors, that black border setted as "soft light"? Is it? Better try pure white setted as "soft light".

At the very least, I think it needs a border of some type.
