Yeah, several scenes of the episode were too bright I wished they'd tone it down.
Well, maybe introduction of more girls will shift the attention from super loli Rie.

Lol, the sun was really shining in Astarotte's world I blame the golden tree that acted as a solar array

Wanted to mention some other amusing scenes, like Sadist Judi and the part when Astarotte "armed" her tail

I was wondering about that. I tried lowering the brightness on my screen and cleaning my glasses and screen to no avail. Was that the little madalion thing that all the students wear in Zero no Loli amongst Judit's text's? And I think I saw Sana's hammer from Kodoma No Omocha amongst her S&M toy's

The first episode is heavily different compared to the manga version.
As for the censorship, I never see any scene that was censored, especially nudity and panty shots.

Although It is different I kinda like this interpretation since it's adding in an entire event telling it from Lotte point of view however the original premise is in intact story wise.

There's is something about the tone which seems more serious to me. Beside that Kugimiya Rie.... I went ack.. the minute I heard Lotte speak.. being overcast for most loli tsundere role is ng..

I'm not too fond of the story so far and I have yet to get attracted to Astarotte (which I'm not due to simple-minded reasons, sorry). But! Things are understandable, and the premise that things are gonna get warped to another world (maybe with the possibility of switching between both worlds? I guess not...) also has potential to turn into something rather entertaining, depending on what'll happen. Oh and the girls beside Astarotte and Judit are rather nice to look at, I'll give it that.

He's not like most male harem characters anyway. As far as I know, he isn't interested in Astarotte. And he shouldn't be since she's the exact same age as his own daughter. It's one thing to pursue a girl the same age as your children if your children are in their 20s, but not if your kid still goes out every morning wearing randoseru.

Realy the only real major thing they changed was Judit had no problems getting to Earth by herself and had been scouting for men as a shady fortune teller useing a crystal ball (the bracelette seems to have taken it's place). We get to see more of Noayo and Asuha's home life.

Nudity in the manga tends to stay around the comidic nudity level (only butts or they shift to SD form, or an object/word ballon is in the way, or the rare Inukami nude block.)

OKAMA? LOLWUT!? The dude must have balls (or rather the opposite) to use such a nickname

Nonetheless, the design is indeed rich and impressive.

I completely agree, though I blame it more on the lack of character in the case of Rose@DragonCrisis.

In between, Judith won this episode for me

Anyway, back to the loli's energy sucking quest

Okay guys, I have a serious question.

I've been reading Lotte, and I've watched the first episode, so I know what the story is and where it goes.

I also know that the premise is a real real backseat to what really happens in the story.

That being said, do you think this kind of show is too... hardcore for a normal person? Specifically for...

@winkel: A 10 year old girl forced to suck the life force out of a 23 year old dude... I am absolutely certain that even your neighbourhood's feminist, turned into fundamentalist after having kids would find it appropriate

I also agree that Naoya's voice is horrid for his age. Good grief...

Wait a minute...

Spoiler for Put this in a spoiler just in case:

Naoya is voiced by Satou Rina? I didn't recognize the voice until I looked at the credits. Odd choice to play a 23 year old guy.

Like it so far, the world design is extremely cute I love it. I'm a fan of the manga so kinda dissapointed they cut Naoya's home life. and also Satou Rina as a guy is a no no for me that just doesn't fit. It only had ruined the show for me.

I know it's Satou Rina in "Negi mode" right away.
She as negi, a 10 year old boy is okay, but as Naoya? False person big fail. What the hell they're thinking choosing Satou Rina? *sigh*

Naoya is very unmanly at least in appearance. I thought the voice fit well.

So I'm not the only one who thought about how awful Naoya's casting choice is . Even if Naoya isn't very masculine there are still tons of other voices that go well with his type (like you know, an actual male seiyuu? ). Rina Satou isn't one of them.

Here's a reality check: This show looks cute and moe, but the premise, and the fanservice look very dodgy to me .. and the late-night original screen time confirms that it's really for adult pervs, not 10 year old kids. If you showed it to your adult neighbours, they'd probably denounce it as kiddy porn. That's a topic some adults feel very strongly about...
