I wasn't really a fan of Hisako Kanemoto coming into this,I thought she was trying too hard to be cute as Kanata in sora no woto, but wow after seeing this episode I'm quite pleasantly surprised!She even shows some range going beyond just "cute".

I really thought this show wasn't going to be good, but I was way wrong. The first episode was light-hearted and funny. I can't wait for next week! Although, I don't think I'll be able to eat squid anything for a while...

okay. Squid girl is freakin adorable ;_;
also Chizuru, Eiko, and Takeru all were nice too.
It has a nice slice-of-life comedy-ish feel to it, so I'll definitely continue this.

I laughed out loud a lot. I rarely laugh out loud much at an anime.

She's not too bright and easily distracted. Taken in by a paper hat.

Pretty funny, will carry on watching it.

I loved how the oldest sister, while being nice is actually a demon at fighting, don't get on the wrong side of her!

Haha, this show is a riot. Squid girl takes ignorance to a new level lol. I loved how she got fooled into thinking Takeru was a squid. It's just hilarious that she could be fooled by such a half assed costume lol. Her whole plan to take over the earth is pretty funny in itself. The sisters seem interesting. I knew Chizuru would be the scariest lol. This fills my lighthearted comedy slot perfectly. Good premire.

I've enjoyed reading the manga and now I'm enjoying watching the anime. Very lovable and adorable all around.

The whole squid ink bit was just too damn funny

. Talk about going in for an invasion with no intel at all. Of course it really doesn't matter since she has been taken down by a few people in a restaurant

. Though I'm still rather impressed that Squid girl didn't just run right back into the ocean after that encounter with Chizuru. Maybe she figured that Chizuru would annihilate her before she even could reach the water

Squid ink pasta is pretty easy to find. In the larger cities most high end or specialty grocery stores carry it in both spaghetti and fettuccine and it's easily order online. If you look around you can find a fettuccine that's almost jet black in color.

Well, actually she sticking around because she haven't given up on invading humans yet. She is not about to give up now that she gained a foothold and "conquered" the floor. She is just that delusional.

For the adventurous: Spoiler for added color: Put water on to boil and cook squid ink fettuccine according to pkg directions.- Heat oil in a large skillet. Sauté 2 cups of quartered small mushrooms, 2 sliced small zucchini, and 2 minced hot green chilies for 2 minutes. Add 1 1/4 cup Tomato Sauce plus Oregano, Marjoram, Thyme, Basil to taste and simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir in 2 cups of canned clams and 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley and remove from heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover. - When fettucine is cooked, reheat sauce to boiling and serve immediately over fettuccine with grated Parmesan cheese. Oh, yeah, 5/5
