Everyone sees what they want to see, the trailer is intentionally cut in a way that will not spoil the real plot.
So let it be known that I still believe Rey is a descendent of a Sith, and that it is why Luke is frightened of training her. And that it is the up-most hypocrisy because Luke himself technically was a descendent of a Sith as well.

Looks like they cut it in a way to look like it is Empire Strikes Back part 2, I kinda hope they don't go that route even though its still the best Star Wars film bar none
On the Luke training thing, I think it has to do with what happened when he last tried to train people in the force, Cry Baby McGee slaughter everything and began to worship Vader as a god |

As I posted on FB, despite the trailer, I'm going to be seeing this movie. I.E., the trailer is purposely keeping things vague (I'm getting too used to all these trailers that basically spoil the movie), and you don't know who's going to be on the Dark Side or the Light Side. I was most disappointed though that they didn't show Luke doing anything other than being cryptic... I realize that technically it's not his movie (or really even trilogy at this point, I suppose), but can we get at least one, if not multiple Badass Luke moments?

Anyone who want to see real spoilers, are better off waiting for the Japanese/Chinese Trailer.
It is traditional that Asian trailers spoil the entire plot, because culturally the audience is expected to know what the story is before they would pay money to see it.

Cool theory, but it goes against the little character development she got in the first film. Now Kylo changing sides is pretty predictable, personally I want to see more development out of him past his whining crying temper tantrum throwing we saw in the first film

The First Impressions for Star Wars: The Last
Jedi Are Overwhelmingly Good: "Last night, the Hollywood premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi marked the first time anyone outside of Disney and Lucasfilm got a chance to see Rian Johnson’s long-awaited eighth mainline Star Wars film. (And John Boyega made it after all!) Now, responses have flooded in on social media from attendees, and they’re good, y’all." See: https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-first-im...are-1821163099 |
