Oh god this whining about swimming anime was happening everywhere?

The pre-air screening event was held yesterday (JST) and it was very well received. Both episode 1 and 2 were shown, but several people commented on how amazing the OP/ED were.

In addition, the solicitations went out for the series as well. It'll be 2 episodes on 6 volumes, so 12 episodes total (as expected). There's an un-aired original short movie packaged on each volume.

Thanks for the info! My interest on this has increased seeing that it was well received.
I'm expecting amazing water animations in the OP/ED

And I bet Sentai gets this for dvd release. This seems like something they'd be interested in too.

Who knows? It's from a company that seems to have not held any international rights for anime before this. We can't simply assume Sentai will get it based from past KyoAni series that had rights held by other companies.

Actually kinda not surprised, but after all the bruhaha (which I happily avoided) I think I may give this a looksee. Am not much of a "sports genre" fan, but maybe this will surprise me. Regardless I am a Kyoani fan in general....

People do this a lot and don't get in trouble for it. As far as I know, it's fine.

There's some really nice animation in the latter half of the OP. The ED is hilarious

rulfo Senior Member Join Date: May 2011	Awesome animation with the OP. However the ED was more interesting to look at. Spoiler for Ep 1: So far I enjoyed this episode surprisingly. Some gags hit me. But really the main focus here was WATER. So far I think this'll have more story then that just being somewhat more mundane like K-ON. I liked how it starts off with a flashback.
