The new best action piece of Shippuden thus far? I think we have a winner

Looks to keep the animation up next week as well, though not quite the same budget buster that tonight's was. Excitement towards next week!

So the battle between god's has begun.

Pretty good episode but once again I felt it was more built up for the next episode.

It seems the Pa frog on Jiraiya's body is rather powerful as his suiton jutsu cut the chameleon in half!

Holy sht. Really some godlike fighting there. If only naruto learnt 1/10th of jiraiya, he will be so godlike...

The 2 toads looks really worth the summoning time.

I hope they explain whats up with this whole sage mode thing!
This is so much over 9000!!!!!!

I liked the animation, nice episode,, next week will probably surpass this.

WHO LET THE FROGS OUT? Great animation in this episode. Next week looks to be a killer. It's about time the oodama rasengan saw a return.

Not quite on episode 85's level. That's the gold standard for Naruto animation. But still very good.

It's amazing to think of the crap we saw during the Gaara and Sai arcs compared to this.

That was probably the worst animation I saw in episode 85. Characters don't look like themselves, way too simple drawing. Skies without clouds... Just what kind of sky is purely blue without any shading? x_x
Maybe some explosions did look good, but that's it.

85 is episode which is the hardest for me to watch.

Jiraya is just awesome and now Naruto has finally gotten good. It seems with how well they're doing this little arc that there's a lot of love for Jiraya. Wonder if they can keep up this awesomeness? Jiraya is definitely showing why he's just awesome and respected and just how strong he really is... It makes me happy!

Though the style of animation was quite different from 85, I though this episode looked just as amazing.

Awesome episode! This fight was a little confusing in the manga I thought. Much prefered this version. Nice gore effect as well.

I really would like to save a few episodes over a month or two, then watch it all in one go...but I know I wouldn't be able to!

Yaaay, Naruto got blood splattering in a rain shower! Very nice episode, good cliffhanger and interesting action.

Drawings=art... Animation= giving life to art, making it move around and shake that ink! So regardless of art, the animation of an episode can still be very good~

In other news, there are frogs whose tongues have teeth and secrete acid, eww x_X

P.S:Why is the title translated as honoured sage mode, I'm pretty sure that it should be "activate! sage mode~"...

I love Pain as a character and how he looks. This is a proper villain, although his goals could be considered noble. I'm amazed that I'm still who has rated this episode the lowest

I try to be objective. Yes, this was a very good episode, but I guess it's still going to be better. Also it's sad that my favourite character is absent (Shikamaru), although Pain could be my new favourite.
