That was excellent. The opening time-skip was totally plausuble and really sold me right up to the point where they mentioned Nadeshiko. "Ah.", I thought....
I did love the way the whole thing came full circle with Nadeshiko doing her own solo camping trip the way Rin had in episode one. One of the things I've liked about this show is that it shows while group activities (as in pretty much every 'High school girls do STUFF' show) are fun, solo activities are just as much fun. I appreciate that totally. It's been a good show, would love to see those characters again some day. |

"Usoyade."
;_; How am I going to get by week to week without Aoi-chan's delightful white lies? Without Rin's calm yet snarky attitude? Without Nadeshiko's unending cheer and incredible ability to make food look delicious? Without Ena and her hairstyling and joking with Rin? How am I supposed to go on without these girls?! Quote:
It's a really different sort of approach from a lot of anime that seem to think that it's always better and more enjoyable to be with other people rather than alone, and that people who do things by themselves are really just lonely and will always be happier once they've been brought into a group, and will never want to go back.

In the end, Nadeshiko too is still portrayed as an occasionally solitary explorer. Slightly better prepared than when we first met her and I quite like that she is still shown as hopping on her bicycle to set out on her own. Joining up not seen or portrayed as an intrusion either when the opportunity presents itself.

Yuru Camp concludes on a high note, dealing in more than just "solo vs. group camping": the messages of being open to new experiences and the joys of adventure form the basis for all things in Yuru Camp. Further, I think that this series is worthy of being considered as "Survivorman The Anime".

Of course they need another season! They haven't done any spring or summer camping yet. Plus they need to meet up with Rin's grandfather.
In the meantime, there are new seasons of Amanchu! and Yama no Susume coming, so at least there's that. |

Really nice (and tiny) detail from the OP:
https://twitter.com/ori_gami/status/976858563904790530 The text message from Nadeshiko is saying "Rin-chan! Let's go camping together!!" Rin's reply in the OP from episode 1: "Nope" In episode 8: "I'll think about it" In episode 12: "Sure"

The OVA included with the first BD volume is a short but fun (and relevant) prelude to what happens in the series proper.
