The animation quality and soundtrack was glorious in the latest episode. Based ufotable. I definitely plan to rewatch this again later today in higher resolution. Very impressive episode.

Illya makes an introduction.
She has Berserker so that's a challenge.
That servant is the closest to a monster as they get.
Another impressive fight ^^
Damn, that monster is just too hard to kill..

Didn't really enjoy the servant part of the battle to be honest. This sort of fast-paced exchange of blows was fine with Archer vs Lancer, but Berserker is a completely different breed of opponent altogether, so it feels weird to see him engaging in a similar, technical type of battle with Saber here.

I don't know about anyone else, but Berserker seems smaller to me...

And doesn't it seem kind of backwards for Illya to be praising Archer when he couldn't even scratch Berserker, yet completely dismiss Saber even when she went toe-to-toe with him and took down one of his lives (tho pretty sure this part didn't actually happen in the UBW route)?

It probably hit and did at least the same damage as Saber did, but then Berserker probably just regenerated again, we just didn't see it because a huge explosion and lots of fire blocked the view, otherwise Illya's reaction wouldn't make any sense for the reasons you stated.

Damn! Kung-fu Berserker ftw! Also I wonder what the attack Saber used to kill Berserker before he rezzed. Looked like a lazer beam to me

holy shiz, the animation of this studio just seems to improve by leaps and bounds. One of the best BGM's out of all the anime this season.

quite honestly, given the sales from all the Type Moon anime/movies/games/toys I think whoever is funding UFOtable knows how good their production quality is and is more than willing to dish out the dough so they can both set the bar to animation quality of anime in general and pump out higher sales
