Another rather humorous video about how much TF2 has changed:

I like how the "self-healing" is emphasized. Poor Medic.

Also, 2 new promotional items that I think are cool enough to be worth mentioning...

"The Original" A primary weapon for Soldier based on the rocket launcher from Quake and Team Fortress 1, it's even wielded in a unique fashion. Given to those who bought "Quake 4":

And the "Pip-Boy" which is an alternate skin for Engineer's building PDA's. Given to those who own and buy "Fallout: New Vegas":

In related news to the above post as well, two pre-order items are up for offer for the duration of the Quakecon Steam sale:
Pre-order RAGE to receive the Wingstick (Misc item, Engineer), and pre-order Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to receive the Tamrielic Relic (Headgear, Heavy).

Those of you who already own BRINK, or buy BRINK before August 8 get the Anger (Headgear, Sniper).
Or you can get most of id's and Bethesda's currently released game catalog through the QuakeCon Pack 2011.

(I would've loved to pre-order RAGE, but the asking price for us down here is too high for my liking...)

It actually makes sense when you think about it.

I mean this is a guy who specializes in "burning" people so he's not actually killing them in one shot. Even a psychotic guy would break.

In this case, since he thinks and acts like a dolphin it's all good. Just like how the little sisters in Bioshock see dead corpses as angels and aren't afraid to drink their blood.

Oh lord this is going to be interesting. I wonder just how much actually changes if you use Pyrovision. Does the entire map and all the character models morph into something like what we saw in Meet the Pyro? That would be impressive.~

Guess we'll find out soon enough.

My god this was beautiful. Of course they don't reveal anything about gender (got to let that speculation keep burning on

), but it was pure entertainment. An amazing psycho that isn't killing, but sharing joy with everyone. Share the joy pyro

. But really love seeing the various characters show their utter terror towards the pyro and yet finally seeing how the pyro views everything.

Though maybe the most amazing news was those goggles. I mean that is just going to make the game insanely entertaining

Geez, they split up the effects of the Equalizer into two separate weapons now? Wasn't that supposed to be one of the better balanced items in the game?

Anyway, the power increase one now has a new skin but is still named "The Equalizer", whilst the speed increase one retains the old skin but has a new name called "The Escape Plan".

Maybe I'm out of the loop but was this really necessary?

No, the equalizer was pretty op, the best melee weapon for the soldier, by far.

Basically, I love the new stat, but I hate the new rocket launcher (op).

The team at Team Fortress 2 and Square Enix have teamed up again to bring us a new set of items to celebrate the impending release of Sleeping Dogs: The Triad Pack.
The new weapons are craftable from other weapons, can be bought in the Mann Co. Store, or obtained for free (w/ Genuine quality) by pre-ordering Sleeping Dogs before August 12.
Plus, a new KOTH map is also coming soon, with a refreshing oriental flavour.

So I decided to play TF2 again after checking out that Meet the Pyro video and due to luck I dominated a Sniper carrying pyro vision with my Spy. Since then I've been playing with my pyro with pyro vision, funny stuff. I especially like the dominating message "Blaat is BEST FRIENDS with <insert name>"
